I'm trying to make sense of it all. I'm aware Arum and Schaefer dislike each other, but obviously it wasn't always like that.
Could someone establish an accurate timeline?
When do you think it will end? If it's a simple matter of bad blood between Bob and Richard, one would figure the "Cold War" would come to an end once either guy either dies or retires. Is that really the case? Or is the "in-house" income enough to transcend personal vendettas?
I chose this as a topic for a school report. Made a survey and everything, and to my surprise, people seemed to be quite interested. I'd appreciate any insight. Thanks!

That article is a good read..
I love manny the fighter, but the dude is an idiot.. The thing I don't get, is if top rank had a deal with him, then how is oscar entitled to any money, since their contract would be null and void, since you can't enter a contract if your already signed to someone else.... Why is oscar owed anything,, he signed a deal with someone who wasn't a free agent, yet he still got a piece of manny's money.. Can anyone answer that?
Easy, De La Hoya won a lawsuit to break his contract with Top Rank and started a rival promotional company which secured a multi-year deal with HBO that guaranteed them a significant amount of dates per year.
michael konsz told manny pacquaio to sign with 2 promotional companies????????????????????????????????????????? thats what managers are there for so before anyone starts bashing manny, bash konsz, the biggest joke of a manager in history
i dont think manny is mentally challenged, why does he need so many middleman? koncz ariza arum roach, etc... its always their fault not pacquiao
So you didnt read article. And Mares Nonito shows us that they wouldnt be
What was the other fight? Was it Rios/Matthyse they were trying to co promote and Arum was having nothing to do with it. I remember that Golden Boy would promote one, Top Rank would the other. Pac/Top Rank fans was so on Arum's side. Funny that all these fighters have since lost.

This will totally blow in the wind and never talked about by Floyd haters and Manny lovers. NEVER. They will avoid this to the utmost.

Thanks for the article man, a good read and a lot of that I didn't know, same as a lot of peeps at a guess.
Pac definitely deserves real criticism here. He's a liability when it comes to business. Can't imagine he could be that effective a politician either.

Wow, that's a great article, very insightful. Thanks man, this will do.
I appreciate everybody else's posts as well. If anyone feels they have anything else to add, feel free to do so.
Wasnt it becuase of Oscar company growing and trying to sign Pac who had contract but took suitcase of money and then lawsuits followed.
Then i think the hatton v pac fight had issues with Arum so GBP said no more
Delahoya and Arum were kind of at odds, Oscar's promotional company grew, had the biggest fight ever with Floyd and no Top Rank involved. Still willing to work together but you could still sense anomosity.
- Then Pac and Oscar fought and oscar tried luring pac to his stable, I forget the lawsuit but I knew there was one. Then the lawsuits between Top Rank and Pacquiao vs Mayweather and GBP
- Mayweather had the option of leaving HBO for Showtime for more money, he did just just, and GBP started to do a lot of fights on Showtime.
HBO sensed this, and blacklisted GBP from the network.
