Mayweather is, for the most part, recognized as the best boxer of this era. But is he immune to getting outboxed?
An example that comes to mind is James Toney. He has a comparable style to Mayweather. Roy Jones and Montell Griffin both outboxed an in-his-prime Toney. Though I think Toney wasn't 100 percent himself in those fights. He said that he was just going to be a brawler against Griffin. That didn't work out obviously.
Does an in-his-prime Manny Pacquiao have the tools and stamina to do what Zab Judah did to Mayweather for twelve full rounds? Judah was only able to outbox Mayweather for six rounds until Mayweather started successively walking down Judah. If he wanted to, could Mayweather walk down Pacquiao?
And no Manny never had a chance to outbox Floyd....people were picking him to maybe ko floyd but never outbox him
All manny ever had over floyd was a punchers chance
and that wasnt much
against anyone out there presently? no
the only guy with a chance to match him is Lara
he could conceivably eke out a close one with Floyd at JMW
but he can't straight up outbox Floyd start to finish, no way
Again, you still haven't counter argued a damn thing besides being basic. Just go to bed, Larry.
Im suprised I wasted my time on the guy who believes Pac could beat Mayweather. Amazing..
This man could get the job done
http://www.goldenboypromotions.com/img/fighters/erislandy-lara-.jpg
im a believer as well. atleast he would give him the best test of anyone out there.

Pacquiao
Golovkin
Prime Martinez
A shot Cotto out boxed Floyd for a few of the mid rounds in their fight, so maybe a prime Cotto can out box Floyd for more than 6 rounds
Lara is another possibility.
Not sure if serious or trolling but...
Please don't.
I am not Larry.
This is my one and only account on this site.
I've been lurking for a few years before I made this account so I could access the video trading block and join this seemingly cool forum NSB. I really like it so far.
But please knock it off. Perhaps this Larry guy does have alts but "punchr" is not one of them.
I wasn't calling you an alt. The john guy I'm talking to.
What were your points exactly? Floyd pressuring Pac!? That is Floyd's "plan b" to you? If Floyd did have to sink to a plan b, what makes you think "pressure" would be the answer?
How about when you said Floyd puts his back to the ropes when he can't shut down a boxers offense? How has Floyd done in the past? Don't speak on fantasies, speak on truth, Floyd is one of the greats off of the ropes. Been having boxers punch their hearts out while he stands smiling. Floyd is a woman for tiring boxers while on the ropes?
Again, you still haven't counter argued a damn thing besides being basic. Just go to bed, Larry.
OK, now I know I'm dealing with a dumb ass. Read back your post, Larry.
And p.s. you're a basic level thinker. You never counter argued any of my points. You just said, "KO, KO, lost to Bradley, blah blah blah."
You're basic, Larry. That's why you use alts. :fing26:
"He just doesn't have it, never did". Yeah, you're Larry.

You're talking to Larry's alt. He's trying to play the, "I'm not biased" card, and act like he's not Larry.

Maybe I am being misquoted as being "Larry"? I never said a word about Pac being knocked out in the beginning of his career. 2nd, I never said I thought he "Lost" to Bradley. Now there is no denying a one punch sleeper, this really happened. Pacman's style is not a good mesh against Floyd's, it will eventually be proven as I believe the fight can still happen. Floyd's pot shots and defense will take over the fight. I'm sorry, your guy loses, he just doesn't have it, never did. :dead:

Larry, get a life. You're weird, dude. You're literally a retard. You're not even breaking down or analyzing anything. You're using some beginner boxer rhetoric, and filling up the page so you can seem knowledgeable. This whole break down is, "Pac got KOd when he first started out, got KO'd by JMM, and "lost" to Bradley. Surely you can't be this dumb.
This right here is why I know you don't know anything about boxing, and have no idea what critical thinking is. You have a basic mind, and can only analyze in basic ways.
Yes, Floyd is a point fighter, that hasn't faced a damn person that could really test him. Again, your logic is basic. "Floyd is a point fighter, he can't be beaten on the cards." You're a very basic level thinker.
Larry, stop using alts, and debate me 1 on 1. You can't. You're a basic level thinker, and I can clearly see that by this post. It literally has no substance, and only a bunch of words to make it look like you're saying something.

Maidana is more substantial than ghost and baldomir though. I never understand when someone says Maidana is like them. Please explain this mentality.
Ghost's fighting style is all bark no bite at world level. He tries to be imposing but has small pop and his shots are easy to see and time. Baldomir, well he was relentless but never had the chin power and fighting brain chino has. And people say chino is slow (I disagree based on recent footage) but baldomir was Sllllow.
Maidana is closer to a prime Castillo with some difference in ring generalship and power or a Jesus Chavez with a lot more power than either of those two you guys keep hashing up.
Yes times infinity, to the infinite power.
Clearly, you've done your homework. I've studied tape on both Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero and Carlos Baldomir. They unquestionably do not fight with the same intensity, power, intelligence, skill, and supreme confidence that Marcos does.
Also, I've never -- and I mean never -- seen Guerrero or Baldomir move their heads, slip punches, and roll punches. Maidana -- for a brawler -- does these things better than he should. It's counter-intuitive that a puncher would be so adept at techniques that you usually only see pure boxers employ.
For example, Maidana was successively rolling and slipping punches in the Jesus Soto Karass and Josesito Lopez fights. He was actually able to make those moves work at a world class level!
Maidana is a natural.
In addition to possessing the genetics to be a world class technical brawler-puncher, Marcos is a student of boxing. He understands his craft. He is intelligent. He knows just being a tough guy can only work up until a certain point. Therefore, he learned technical skills to take his boxing to the next level.
Cool...
I'm amazed how people think only one type of fighter can beat Floyd, and don't give physical guys a chance even though Floyd's most contested win was over a physical guy
You're talking to Larry's alt. He's trying to play the, "I'm not biased" card, and act like he's not Larry.
I don't know Larry.. lol. 2nd, There isn't much to debate. Pacman was a great fighter back then in his prime, almost scary how good he was from 08-10. I'm reasonable, and if I thought Floyd had some kind of weakness in his game to lose to Pac I would admit it, I'm not that guy. Pacman has been knocked down numerous times, which is the cause of his fighting style of old. Pacman has been knocked unconscious with one blow. Pacman has valid losses besides the head scratching decision to Bradley. And his wars with Marquez. Mayweather has shown technically he is almost untouchable, and when he is touched, which is usually in the early rounds, he adapts quite well and starts to hold advantages over his opponents from then on. This is the average Floyd fight.

Am I missing something? What is so special about Pac's style that will "expose" Floyd as they say? Is it his power? Pac is pretty powerful, but it is highly unlikely to knock out Mayweather with 1 punch, much less knock him down. Do you think he will land combinations on Floyd to finish a fight?
This right here is why I know you don't know anything about boxing, and have no idea what critical thinking is. You have a basic mind, and can only analyze in basic ways.
This is highly unlikely as well. I guess this will boil down to the cards and winning by points. Floyd is a points boxer, that is what he does! That is what he is a master at, hitting and not getting hit, it is not very exciting, but it wins fights, and obviously to Floyd, this is very important. Maybe not to us boxing fans, because in my opinion, his fights can be boring! Who would not rather watch 2 guys fighting their hearts out barely edging one another out skill wise. This has been proving quite hard as finding a quality opponent to de throne Floyd's run. Pac is great, but he doesn't have the skillset to out point Floyd, therefore, I believe he will not only lose, but lose big on points.

Brandon Rios uses his supreme athletic agility to box circles around Floyd -- darting in and out quickly while getting his 7 punch combos off at virtual will.
Rios 11-1 UD.
I 2nd this..
And Floyd's plan B of pressuring the southpaw wouldn't work on Pac. Pac would chew his ass up, and spit his ass out.
And I feel like I'm talking to Larry's alt. Be a fuggin man and debate me 1 on 1. Stop using your corny alts ya pussi boy.
