I pick Wilder by knockout but sooner or later Wilder will have to learn to box and jab. We don't know if he will fall in the late rounds also. Would be interesting to see him go the distance so we know if he can before he fights for a title.
scott looked massive in his last fight and he still looks very overweight in his training videos. Since hes stuggled with weight before this isnt really a surprise.
Mark Breland and team have brought Wilder along methodically. The training, sparring and hard work will be revealed to the fans on March 15th. Malik Scott is a good boxer and will give Deontay a longer fight than the previous opponents. Malik will suffer at least one knockdown by round 4 and the cumulative punishment will take its toll, leading to a referee stoppage in round 5.
you are right about this they have brought him along slowly & now it's time to show what he has. were the Harrison & liakhovich blowouts for real or were they the product of beating shot fighters? we will soon find out.

A part of me feels Scotts style is a little bit wrong for Wilder and a strong part of me thinks Wilder will have no respect for him friend or not and destroys him maybe as early as one. Scott has no power, he is too timid to throw a powershot.
I'll take what I consider the smart pick here and go with Wilder early. I just don't have Scott down as a durable guy.
If Scott stays focused and doesn't panic i can see him picking Wilders shots coming from a mile away. But in both the Glazcov and Chisora fights we saw Scott lose focus as the going got tougher. With Wilder it only takes one shot, and I'm not convinced Scott can avoid that one for the whole fight.
I'd say its a 50\50 fight based on intangibles
i picked wilder but part of me thinks wilder doesn't smother & lean on his opponent like chisora does. chisora bullies guys by getting inside & throwing to the body & looping overhand rights. wilder tries to fight tall but often gets reckless & looks off balance when he goes for the homerun knockout. there is a chance scott avoids these punches because of his pure boxing skill. he might see everything coming & be able to counter when wilder misses. this is a very intriguing matchup in my eyes. we will see how wilder reacts to fighting a guy who may be able to tie him up & avoid his best shots. can wilder even go 6 rounds?
