First of all, I do know he posts here and the common opinion about him is that he is a "great guy".
I do know Scully a little bit personally, I mean I never saw him in real life, but I know him over the internet since probably 2 or 3 years. I am not even proud to make this thread because I do not like negative stuff really but I felt I had to do this. I think I know John enough to judge him as a person and my opinion about him is not a good one.
I respect him as a former pro fighter and high level, world class trainer but on a personal level I have a different opinion about him.
What is the point with this thread and these posts?
im not sure, i thought the OP was trying to be funny. either way, i find this whole tread comedic gold

Everybody loves Scully so what is the problem. I have had an experience with him that made me dislike him. I mean I didn't say he did anything really bad or anything. I just felt he was arrogant and disrespectful.
No big deal, is it?
Let's forget the whole thing.
I am still p*ssed off at Scully when I think about it, but it's not that big of a deal really.

I had to look up something to remind me that I have known Ice over 15 years (rather than over 10 years), although 15 years is still over 10 years, technically speaking. The voices of fans have spoken in unity for Ice and he knows who his friends are and there are enough to sink a cruise ship! 15 years ago on AOL I called him the "Internet Boxer of the Year" because he was, and still is, the one fighter who even though he has been on TV a number of times in high-profile fights, fought for titles, - he was accessible to anyone and everyone. I have a ton of admiration and respect for him. Not many boxers are accessible. I know Ishe Smith (a little) and Wayne McCullough's wife from years back when she used the name SillyJun, the names of her cats as a username on AOL. Merqui Sosa's wife was there too but she divorced Merqui long ago. But Ice is loyal and consistent and down to earth.
Thank you for including me Derranged, your opinions are cherished indeed.
Deranged may refer to psychosis, a generic psychiatric term for a mental state often described as involving a "loss of contact with reality"............ Rockin':boxing:
No disrespect, but are you actually a ranked fighter?..or are you more of a club fighter, I'm not saying that's bad..I attend several local fights in my area, just curious of your actual pro level status!

You've never met me but you dislike me? I interacted with you on the internet? Arrogant and disrespectful? Honestly, with all due respect, that doesnt sound like me. Im a pretty laid back guy, maybe you didnt read my tone properly. Or maybe you were talking to someone who wasnt actually me, you only thought they were? Or maybe you were being disrespectful and I answered in kind. Its the INTERNET. You have to take interactions online for what they are and with a grain of salt.
Well,...you had the problem that's why you made a thread.
you didn't tell anyone what it was...so whether its a big deal or not is up to you
If you want to forget it delete the thread.
BTW...most would consider this weirdo like behavior
That was exactly what I was thinking about his reply he's the one who made it a big deal by making a thread. I just really don't get the point of this

I have been on Boxing forums with Scully for many years and he has always represented himself as a Good guy. When the issue came up of Dawson getting dropped hard in training camp, I thought Scully handled that well. it was a delicate balance and he pulled it off.
Regarding his work with Dawson....I don't think it would be fair to try to judge if he is a good trainer or not with that fighter. As general boxing fans who follow this sport im sure we have all seen the interviews with other trainers complaining about Dawson's training habits.
I came on here thinking this post was about him boxing or something I'm not really sure why you committed a post to telling us your personal feelings about him just seems like some b!tch **** to me to just come on here and kinda slander the man out of no where. He posts on here so we all have a chance to interact with him and formulate our own opinions so no need to try and sway peoples opinion.
