It seems like really no one wants khan's lackluster performance OR Maidana's flat feet...so why not Paulie?
Great wins, solid performances, close reecnt losses, great chin, high volume, hard to hit, great adjustments he can make it a boxing match.
I think the whole ''If Paulie had power'' thing is on par with Zab Judahs overrated as hell uppercut which if lands allegedly lifts opponents 12ft off their feet for stupidity.
I agree.
I like Pauli but he's a solid boxer at best, decent defense at best aswell.
Had some really bad performances over the years.

Stylistically a good fight against Floyd, but Paulie has absolutely no power. Floyd would decimate him with the pull counter like Broner did, except he'd land it at will.
When's Broner ever done a pull counter?
I've not seen that.
I'd like to thank al haymon, leonard ellerbe and the rest of mayweather promotions for making this fight happen with maliggnaggi. what can i say hard work and dedication...
i have a butler who assists me he focuses on my twitter page and my website he made the poll and with so many arguements about leftovers we decided to drop maidana and khan from the fight and let maliggnaggi enter the floyd mayweather sweepstakes.
all i can say is i thank god i've been put in this position, and come may 3rd you gunna see mayweather do what he do best... we aint ducking or dodging no fighter. malignaggi is a strong lion who has proven himself. in my eyes he is undefeated. my focus is on paulie maliggnaggi on may 3rd.
oh yeah and manny paquiao... your next!?
Post of the week material
People forget that Paulie was VERY close to fighting either Mayweather or Pacquiao back 2010, before Shane pulled out of the Berto fight and Bob Arum decided to turn Pacquiao's incredible momentum into a sideshow act. For a while there, it looked like Paulie was going to have his pick.
I would have loved to see Pacquiao-Malignaggi for the fight and Mayweather-Malignaggi for the 24/7.
To me, Paulie's jab is too limp and is too flat footed these days to even whisper Floyds name. He's a shot fighter who wins his bouts with ring IQ and grit.
How about Paulie vs Berto?
I like Paulie, he's a fighting man and wants to test himself.
Lets be realistic though, he's pretty much been a gatekeeper for the top level over a number of years.

The build-up would be better than the fight, it almost always is with these two.
If paulie had power he would beat floyd.
But it would a sparrin match cause stylistically and talent wise paulie
Isnt on that level. Plus dloyd has more skill.

This is right here is a fireworks fight. The jabber vs the pot-shotter.
Sums it up right here.

i like paulie as a personality too....and ive been a fan of him as a fighter for a long time too.....but i cant say im ever dying to see him fight....but when he does ill be sure to watch....the kid gets it....too bad he was born without natural pop and with a brittle right hand....kid could have been bigger than he is/was
Agreed. If Paulie had some pop with his boxing skill he may have been the face of boxing.

I like Paulie as a person and personality but no wayyyy I want to see this fight. Honestly, I do not enjoying watching Paulie fight period.
Floyd will see people talking about this and he will be trying to fight Paulie in September. Smh
