Mayweather - Why do you dis-like him?

I read a lot of threads and it seems like a lot of people hate the pound for pound fighter Floyd mayweather jr. I wanted to know what do you dislike or like from the fighter most consider the best in the world. And do you have more hate then love or more love then hate for him. Just curious what he is doing to make people totally hate him. Because he wont let us see his full potential. People lavish praise on his abilities and say hes the best and he doesn't want to prove beyond a doubt how good he is. He takes long lay offs and doesn't fight who he is supposed to fight. Making excuses to why he wont fight Bradley as hes top rank type excuses get annoying after a while, and then asks why people ask him to fight GGG? Its because your making excuses to not fight Pac, Bradley, Garcia and everyone else in your division that's why. He can bloat fighters up continually but wont do it himself. Even saying he has fought at 154 2 times already when he didn't have to? Making it sound as if those 154 fighters he fought were monters at 154 or something? Everything he and his fans do or say is disagreeable.

I don't hate him at all. FMJ is great boxer but not a great fighter. I don't think we will ever know how great a fighter he could be, as he refuses to take fights with opponents who present a genuine threat. Most of the rubbish he talks outside of the ring I ignore, as he is not as intelligent or articulate as he (or his fans) like to believe. Inside the ring he has honed a truly excellent defensive style and combined it with natural athleticism and exceptional eye hand co-ordination, good chin, good power. For me, he is boring to watch or at least pay money to watch. But I can understand 100% why he splits opinions. That about covered it for me except that I don't find him boring. I love to watch him box. His MoneyMay public persona is annoying but I suppose he thinks that's what's bringing in the money. It is sad that he doesn't fight the best opponents but that's another issue.

An uncivilised, stuttering moron. I have respect for his boxing skills, but I can't stand the way he carries himself. Him and his big team of goons licking his rusty sheriffs badge. He ties himself up with his own lies and half-truths. As for his boxing, all being equal I believe he could have fought and beaten many top fighters. Protecting his 0 has become the priority. He will do anything to put his opponent at a disadvantage before they even step in the ring.

Because he say mean things about Manny Pacquiao who is the greatest boxer ever, first boxer I ever watched, and a national hero.

Don't hate but he has had a planned career against sure wins since the Genaro fight. The list he refused to fight keeps growing. Now he wants to fight Maidana or Khan. lol I just don't post much in Mayweather threads because I have a couple friends that like him.

one of my favourite fighters but he has a way with words and knows what to say to avoiding certain situations and confrontations. interview after interview we see him arguing with the interviewers countless times throughout his career which goes to show that were not stupid and we know when floyd is giving us the short end of the stick. excellent fighter but doesn't care about the fans which is totally up to him. just dont complain about it and whine about americans not getting behind you.

He picks the lowest hanging fruit and still loads the dice in his favour. The tough fights on even terms he's not interested in. It's all about "the most money for the least punishment".

Honestly, Mayweather has calmed down /humbled down a little after jail!
