In the most recent issue of The Ring, Jesus Soto-Karass was described as a "Mexican truth detector," meaning matches against him are a true gauge by which a prospect's skill can be adequately judged. It's the very reason I was so looking forward to the JSK-Thurman match; a win against JSK means something. Wilder, on the other hand, had yet to face a heavyweight "Truth Detector."
Who else qualifies as a bonafide Truth Detector?
Paulie, if you cant beat that mofo.. you aint goin no where.
Paulie brings determination to win his bouts, yet hes feather fisted. Get past him and maybe you'll beat fighters with as much determination but with bigger fists and different styles.
Paulie M
Zab Judah
Angulo

Tavaris cloud

Darnell Boone maybe?
Chisora?Probably not good enough to win a title but good enough to weed out the pretenders ie Scott,Helenius and Gerber(although it was clear he was never gunna be good enough)
