of course it effected him, no way an injury that severe wont effect you. thats part of boxing though, so its no excuse. more importantly he may lose again regardless.
good post assassin you're an underrated unbiased poster from what ive seen, ups to you brotha :fing02:

Wait, wait, wait, are you asking if a fractured foot would affect a fighter's performance in a boxing match?? Nah, nope, no way, you're not asking (that).
It may not affect you playing video games or something. But come on...........
Good ankles or bad ankles, even with 3 arms, Bradley doesn't have the skill set to beat manny. Ie he doesn't have a good counter/lead right like morales, jmm
I don't think he will beat Pac either. But Bradley did mention that his feet were a factor so I thought was interesting given this thread.
Then again on that same HBO Face Off he said that he thinks he won the first fight fight 8 rounds to 4. So Tim might be a little bit delusional. :lol1:
That's what I thought too although I saw a Dwyer video claiming he took some early rounds. I couldn't find a replay of the fight on youtube.
I seen him on crutches in a walking boot like two months later at a football practice. How could not have affected him? It was a freakish type of injury. Sure it happened from getting out of the way of pac's punches. What's he's supposed to do just stand there? It's a lot different than getting your orbital bone broken cause the whole idea is to punch the other guy in the face. With that said it's still part of the game. But a freak thing none the less.
I think this will be a much better fight this time for this very reason. Not to mention they both are coming in with a chip on their shoulder.
IMO Bradley won the first to rounds pretty clearly.
Just watched the fight again the other night to refresh my memory, Timmy did pretty good the first couple rds. They could of gone either way. From the 4th on it was all Pac. Stopped watching after the 10th because that was the 7th rd Pac won, IMO winning him the fight.

On HBO's Face Off tonight Bradley had this to say:
"The first fight, Manny, I didn't have my feet under me from the second round. From the second round I didn't have my foot. Fourth round too. I hurt the other foot, Manny. And this time I'll be real healthy. Really healthy for this fight."
First PPV headline, moving up in weight, two injured ankles....didn't get knocked down, didn't bleed, two judges gave him the fight. Tim will put it on Pac this time, they better not sleep on Tim this time around.
Are you still taking bets on this fight?
Or do you believe that we saw the best possible version of Tim that night?
Do you really believe that excuse ? Come on what Bradley foot did a 360 and twisted it off or maybe Pac hit his foot with a hammer.
Manny literally broke his ankles. It's a part of the game. Same w/ Matthysse's eye. No excuses imo.
This. He tweaked his ankle in the middle of a Pacquiao flurry. Bad things tend to happen when you're on the receiving end of a 7 or 8 punch flurry, lmao. And anyway, he was fine. Nobody moves as well as he did in the late stages of that fight with a truly f**ked up ankle.
He lost the fight clearly and did so with a Pacquiao who fought and gave genuine effort for virtually a third of the bout.
Lame performance from Tim that night, and it had sh*t to do with his "ankle".

you forgot "didn't land". tim's gotta get pac's attention this time around and actually win a few exchanges, which means he has to take more risks. I think that he only wins if he fights disciplined and boxes/pot shots pac. if he tries to "put it on pac", he'll be trading with a guy who has shorter punches, fast handspeed and more power.

They way Bradley talks about his ankles, you'd think that he was totally immobilized like Foreman against Cotto. Those ankles didn't seem to affect him much as he actually moved better in the later half of the fight. I think that tim will perform better in the rematch but I don't think it gonna have as much to do with the ankles than him just having more experience at ww and also having been with pac in the ring before.

I have a hard time believing he hurt his feet at all. His footwork seemed fine to me the whole fight. I never saw him limp or stumble or show any sign that his feet were injured. I expect Pacquiao to give the rematch a 100% effort instead of the 85% effort he gave the first fight. I thought Pacquiao won at least 9 rounds. This time I think he will go for the KO and probably get it.
