Mayweather is the favorite over all of them in my opinion because he was very impressive beating Canelo and seems almost as good as ever. I voted Pacquiao of today has as good a chance to beat him as anyone. He was also impressive winning every round from former champ Rios. He seems as fast as ever and smarter than before. The 2009 to 2011 Pacquiao would also have a good shot at beating Floyd. You need to take Mosley back to 2000 when he was 30 years old and undefeated and he had just defeated a prime Oscar. That Mosley would be very dangerous for Mayweather. I would still make Mayweather a slight favorite to outbox Mosley and survive any big Mosley punches.
Hmmmm.
"Things like that happen in boxing."
Yeah, but a 40 year old man knocking out an ATG, who you don't knock out, is highly unusual. There will always be an asterisk by that win because of the strangeness behind it. JM had one punch power all of a sudden and his chin was iron as well. Why all of a sudden, do you hire a bio-chemist who is known for making undetectable steroids? He was always against lifting weights because boxers aren't suppose to. For anyone who thinks that because he landed this "perfect" punch, it is why he won, doesn't know anything about the Science of boxing. He HATES Manny, he has always been jealous of Manny's success, he thinks he's a better fighter than Manny, etc. It makes sense that he cheated. No way Marquez could EVER KO Manny under fair terms. NEVER!
Present or past pacquiao. There is no way floyd beats pacquiao period and I love floyd but manny is a nightmare for May.
Btw people exaggerate pacquiaos "decline" because realistically he hasn't declined. He will bring out the killer instinct when needed, the best version I've seen of manny was ironically when he got knocked out against marquez. Things like that happen in boxing.
Not on the list but Martinez from about two years ago. Fight was makeabke but yeah...
I dont think any version of Pac beats Floyd but feel Margarito posed a threat with the plaster and zombie like output/conditioning. P Will could be out slicked... But Marg threw no matter what.
Prime Shane and Oscar likely had the best tools to beat him out of his generation (Sergio too but only because of the style AND size)
No one else matches up well enough with him for me to pick.
Lara is interesting due to size but its hard (hell almost impossible) to see any curret fighter outbox him and Lara doesnt fight "big" Rigo is probably the closest in terms of genius and hes 25 pounds beneath lol.
I went with Pac 09-11. He was a beast then with a killer instinct. But if I could have voted for 2 guys I would have picked Williams because of his freakish size, reach and punch output.
