Chop-chop was asked who would emerge victorious had Mayweather boxed Cotto when both were in their respective primes.
As Corley has boxed both, it appeared he was struggling to see who would have won. Although he did give Mayweather the edge in terms of skill, he pointed out Cotto's sheer size for a 140lb-er.
At 147lbs, I always envisaged a prime 2007-2008 Cotto to give Mayweather the hardest fight of his career. Cotto would've won a close but clear fight.
Round 8 of Mayweather-Cotto shows what could've been. If Cotto gets the W against Martinez, I'd like to see him go for the rematch in a finale. Roach recently said that Cotto had told him that if he had been in the kind of shape that he was for his last fight, he would've got the KO.

After King Cotto dethrones Sergio, Floyd will want the fight and they likely meet not in Sep (too soon and May 2015 toos late) how about Dec 2014? The King likes to fight in Dec!
War Cotto!!!!!!!!!! :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:
I think that's a great scenario if he does beat Martinez because it gives Floyd a shot at middleweight gold. I think Prime Cotton could have won a decision against May weather even if hotly disputed.
I always wanted to see Cotto-Pac 2 tho. I know people say the result is no different but I don't think Cotto ever imagined PAC could walk right through him. Even with Diaz in his corner that fight is a lot more competitive next time IMO. Especially now as PAC isn't as strong and explosive.
I'd love Pac vs Cotto 2 but never gonna happen now Migs is@ The Wild Card plus Manny was pretty dominant so main stream might not be too interested
