I mean I have seen many top boxing websites have polls and all of them, everyone had 70% of the vote for Maidana. Mayweather's "official" poll have Amir Khan pulling away with 55% of the vote. I really don't buy that he's giving the fans a choice at all. He just wants validation of his pick of Khan by saying the fans voted for it, and I also think he just wanted to take attention away from Manny Pacquiao with the vote. What do you guys think?

I think Leornard Ellerbee and Mayweather having been voting multiple times on a daily basis
I find it hard to believe that there are that few hard core boxing fans voting through his site. Casual fans would not vote at all, or even know of a vote. Twitter numbers mean nothing, as I'm sure only 10% of those are active. I think anyone that votes at a fight news, fighthype, otr radio, or any of those other sites that had OVER 70% of the vote to Maidana hold more water.
khans British Asian vote, Muslim vote
uk casual boxing fans vote
celeb endorsements hatton, lennox etc..
mainstream newspaper/media endorsements daily mail, telegraph, bbc
uk non boxing fan vote who know khan from the Olympics and tv shows
= maidana lost
Floyd didn't make the poll, his PR and marketing team did. They have no obligation to make it an honest accounting. It's there to generate some passion, so that people pick one or the other. Because without a Kahn vs Maidana in the sweepstakes angle, no one gives two fks about either one of these guys fighting Mayweather.
No. Khan is way more popular than Maidana. The opinions of hardcore boxing fans aren't shared by the large % of people that buy tickets and watch PPVs.
Its just entertainment to them.
common sense
not rigged, just compare twitter followers of Khan and maidana.

Casual fans don't vote on boxing sites.
I agree with this.
But I also don't believe that any top sportsman would leave something like this to a straight vote.

It is definitely rigged, whoever can't see it is lacking some serious brain power. I hope the media bring it up during the pre-fight buildup just to see Floyd get agitated. This was the only way he could publically justify a Khan fight; "This is the fight fans asked for and I'm giving fans what they want.".
