Spinks wasn't a full HW though, he only fought there 5 times. His HW record is only 4 - 1. Beat Holmes twice, Cooney and someone else. Than lost to Tyson. His LHW record/resume was impressive though, he was undefeated till he met Tyson. Never understood why he retired after just the one loss. That was soft to me. Almost like he couldn't take not being the man or couldn't face people after being knocked out so brutally. But this is a top 10 HW discussion not top 10 HW/LHW. Lewis is a top 5 HW of all time.
spinks beat all time great larry holmes. vitali beat............yea no one good at all. also head to head you do realize spinks was ten times better than chris byrd who ko'd vitali. keep the fantasy dream alive.
Send me some of your mind bending drugs. :lol1:
thread was just below one on tyson fury and for a second i read it as 'Fury is a top ten atg heavyweight' lol suffice it to say yes ... my opinion of NSB could be higher

i'll take an in shape skillful light heavy over one of the fat sacks of crap currently in the division. they are just sitting ducks. smaller guys can actually move around and box. people seem to ignore speed and movement when talking about heavyweights. look how marco huck beat povetkin and huck is pretty sh-it. fat out of shape fighters suck no matter what division they are in. i'll take michael spinks as a heavy over vitali. he already has a better resume and h2h he could move around the slow lummox easily.

And that's why top ten heavies ranked H2H usually suck, everyone just goes by heights and weights and ignores actual skill and technique (which strangely comes into play in boxing. Who woulda thought?)

Hell yeah I agree with this statement. I remember saying that Lewis' resume was better than both the Klits, and getting attacked by a few Klit nut gobblers. I can't take people like them seriously.
I'm a major Klitschko fan and wholeheartedly agree. Lennox is top 5 overall and top 3 H2H as far as I'm concerned.
Larry Holmes and Sonny Liston would have troubled Lennox for sure.
Holmes' jab would have caused problems but Liston would have been fodder. He was too easliy hit.
Lennox was coming on and landing huge punches. All of those cuts on Vitali's mangled face were from punches.
First off, when the blood started to flow, directly before that a punch landed and then Vitali and Lennox's head came together. The punch may have started it but it's not fair to say that all of the cuts came directly from punches.
Secondly, Lennox landed a couple of good uppercuts in the last two rounds.
That certainly didn't mean he won those rounds or was going to knock Vitali out because he landed a punch or two.
Lastly, Lennox was 6 lbs over weight. That's one day of laying off eating as much for a guy that size. The whole "Lennox was old and fat" argument is garbage. Vitali retired at 42 and Wlad is going on 38 now. Lennox left because he knew he wasn't beating Vitali outside of a lucky cut and got out when the getting was still food. Good for him, bad for boxing.
