I am sick of people saying GGG is a hype. This guy is the real deal.
I believe he has no weaknesses and would destroy any opponent from 154lbs to 168lbs without even breaking a sweat.
I've watched 22 of his fights and analysed his style very closely. I am 100% confident he would perform even better when he steps up the competition.
The guy has power unheard of in MW history. Without a doubt he will hand Andre Ward his first loss & would KO him. Ward honesty doesn't want this fight. Imagine going into a fight knowing that there is a 90% chance that you are going to get Knocked the F**k out. Ward can't afford to have that happen to him.
Why should he move up to 168lbs now? If he does you will never give him credit and will say he fought bums. Deadset, everyone is scared to fight him. Even that ***** cat Sergio Martinez.
Hmmm ?
GGG seems to want to fight on his own terms. Some are justified in thinking that he might be ducking Ward. But at this point Ward needs GGG much more than GGG needs Ward. Ward cleaned out SMW and is looking for the next big (real or perceived) challenge. He does not seem eager to move up and challenge the thumpers just yet. His own division does not bring anything new to the table. So GGG is a name that will please masses. A lighter fighter Ward will try to hit and hold his way to victory.
GGG is going to clean out his division and let others come to him. The same exact thing Ward is doing now. Why should others dictate to GGG to move up in weight and fight whoever. If GGG plays it right others will come to him and fight at his weight. He can move down for Floyd and a few others, but draw other up to his weight. Perhaps Ward goes down to get GGG if GGG becomes a big enough draw. Ward can be boring at times and if GGG can raise his stock enough over the next year or two. Ward will be under pressure to move down while right now GGG is under pressure to move up. GGG might be waiting Ward out while strengthening his position. Knowing Ward is also under pressure to move up. Time will tell.
As a fan, I'd love to see this fight take place sooner than later. But politics and ego's will make us wait.
No one else noticed this? This alone made me go....what....the.....hell. Come on now for someone with so many posts this has to be one of the dumbest things I've read on here.
He might be right, it's not a crazy thought. Ward has fought much better comp, but it's possible 3G would be his best opponent yet

I trust that the "good post" would have been: Ward will outwrestle and outheadbutt GGG to death, right?
I think he would beat Martinez in 4, Chavez by 10, and would beat Ward. Ward had neither fought anybody as good as GGG, And GGG hasn't fought anybody as good as Ward. Its just GGG brings a stalker puncher to the table that Ward has never see. Ward doesn't have power to keep GGG off of him.

I agree with the OP...I think GGG wins by late KO...Ward dont have the power to keep GGG off him...watching the Ward-Bika fight it was very close and competitive...the judges scores were absurd...total punches landed was 235-201 Ward...lots and lots of holding in that fight...GGG will cut off the ring and keep Ward from holding alot...he is very good at avoiding holds...GGG late stoppage...
Don't rush...
Instead, Ward would be able to headbutt Golovkin's eyes off in 3 or 4 rounds...
It's kind of a joke how afraid of GGG Ward is. He offered to fight Floyd at 160 yet won't fight GGG at that same weight?
Ward is huge big star -- he makes the calls.
Ward has the right to call GGG even at a catchweight -- namely 172.
I don't know why Ward has to even be brought up. It's like people who were calling for Floyd to fight Martinez at 160. Golovkin has to go up to 168 to fight Ward. Ward has to go up to fight Kovalev or Stevenson. Look, there are weight classes for a reason and if a fighter wants to stay in a division they are most comfortable, most suited for, good, that's the way it should be.
And of course there is the flipside. Why doesn't Ward move down to 160 to fight GGG. Why should he, he could end up Chad Dawson'd. It goes on and on.
The best should fight the best in their own divisions. If Golovkins goal is to unify the 160 titles, let the man attempt his goal.
What? Those two things aren't similar whatsoever. Floyd would NEVER go to 160 for a fight. GGG has said himself he'd fight anywhere from 154 to 168. Ward vs GGG is a very viable bout and frankly a bout that should be made in the near future.

A 10million+ dollar payday will get Ward to sweat down to 160, a 1 and a half million dollar purse won't. See the difference. Boxing (like most things in life) just isn't that simple

BIG dreams for a little man. :lol1:
He should worry about Kid Chocolate and Maravilla first.
He's been worried for a while about getting those two in the ring with him
IMO GGG isnt a hype job, but i seriously doubt he ko's ward,,, Kovolev and stevenson are probably the only guys with a legit shot of ko'ing ward, and even that is long odds..
Ward is a hopkins clone and will be a tough task to ko....
GGG is an offensive juggernaut at 160, but any higher i doubt he would be as dominantI don't think Ward is a Hopkins clone. They have things in common but the prime Hopkins was much better in my opinion. Hopkins was a true right handed fighter with two very good hands and power in each hand. Ward is a left handed fighter who fights from a right handed stance and all his power is in his left. His right hand is weak and GGG would only have the left to worry about. The prime Hopkins also took a punch better than Ward. Ward was knocked down and hurt earlier in his pro career by a guy who's power and skill does not come close to GGG's level.

Why would Ward go down in weight? Hes P4P no.2 and the kingpin at 168... GGG didnt prove sh*t and yet groupies says he should go down to fight GGG. The boxing IQ of some people here is pretty low. If GGG wants to fight Ward, let him go to 168. And by the way, Ward puts a boxing clinic on this dude. Im not a fan of neither of them, but I can see how superior Ward is. GGG had problem dealing with Adama footwork at some point in the fight, and Adama was tripping in his own feet. GGG beats bums and the hype is on. Im not saying he sucks, but hes not there yet.
There are some great fighters coming from Russia these days. Some of them like GGG are the best in the world by far. Some American fans have seen black American fighters usually be the best for the last 50 and more and they don't like the change. That may sound racial but I believe it's part of the reason GGG gets trashed so much. I like good fighters regardless of their country or race and I think GGG is the best pfp fighter in the world and he would gladly prove it against the best middleweights if they would fight him.
I truly doubt GGG would KO Ward... In fact, I believe Ward style would frustrate GGG and would fall late like Dawson. Golovkin needs more experience against defensive fighters who know their stuff or at least fight some elite fighters in his division. Let's see a fight with Sergio first and then we can determine a little more
