Who could beat Mike Tyson toe to toe?

Is there any man on Earth who could beat an in-his-prime eighties Tyson by standing in front of him -- via grueling decision or KO/TKO? simple answer, in his prime, no. Tyson outslugs just about everyone...I'd give Foreman a great shout but I think a prime Tyson could even out slug Frazier, Shaverz, Lyle, Louis, damn the list goes on and on.

Dempsey would give a live fight but is giving away too much weight to a devastating puncher who fights very similar to him.. bad match up. Holmes was a technical fighter, no clue why you mentioned him. Shavers had a great punch but a dodgy chin and limited skills, tyson would KO him early. Frazier would be in for a tough night too but his superior endurance gives him a good chance if he makes it through the early onslaught. holyfield imo would have to play it a bit more carefully than he did in '96, he could beat a prime Tyson but hes not going to do it letting Tyson put hands all over him. holmes has a mean flying kick. shavers could punch you and your ancestors would feel it. dempsey was a ferocious and dirty fighter. Douglas knocked out a 24 year old Tyson. How much prime can you get? Unless Tyson was a pro boxer going through wars at 8 years old, and at 24 was already worn out, which was not the case. Only people I can see standing toe to toe with a prime tyson is Jack Dempsey, Riddick Bowe, and Joe Frazier. Everyone else is a hell nah to me People like Foreman and Shavers may hit harder but by the time they land 1 shot, Tyson will have already landed about 3. People like Lennox Lewis and Larry Holmes are more technical fighters. They can bang for the most part but they ain't built for those kinds of wars and theyd basically be hooking with a hooker.

"Toe to toe" is such a misleading term. Guys like Tyson and Pacquiao are bringing the heat the entire fight, but they're always far from standing. When I think "toe to toe" I picture Friday Night Fights guys gassing out halfway through their first 10-rounder.
