Yeah, I don't care what anyone says, this fight is a toss-up. That's one of the things that makes it so desirable. Fingers crossed that it's really going to happen; but I've been saying since last year that I expected these guys to fight in 2014, so it comes as no surprise.
Tu y yo bro lol too bad it's in la would've been great to reunite I should be in Orlando during that week bro maybe we can reunite
So it took them a day or 2 to get a deal done? I saw some stuff Gamboa posted today that seemed like they were working on it but no contract had been seen yet according to him
I hope this fight happens, would be a very exciting match up. I'm not sure Gamboa's chin is especially weak, he has just been sloppy with defence and after all he has gotten back up to win.
I just got wood in my pants when i saw the thread title......this is going to be a FOY candidate both fighters are taking serious risks.
I agree both fighters are taking a huge risk and so are both promoters. If Garcia loses then Arum lost another cash cow to a Cuban Chupacabra and if Gamboa then 50 cent is fvcked because his cash cow is lost.
Bottom line these are the fights that need to be made. When boxers take risk and fight the best of the best that's how they gain fans.
St.Patricks day is in March.
Dude was way off :doh::banana:
Should be a good fight, the build up is going to be interested. I think a HBO 24/7 episode should be made just one episode is fine
thats the thing, top rank is too greedy to do that, why put a main event on a undercard, thats their mind set, even though i think if they did this the pac vs bradley 2 will prolly end up bringing in more money than to have both of these fights on a different date.
It would be on par with Garcia/Mathysse if they did it.
Instead we get some 100 lb Asian guy who nobody wants to see.....
Top Ranks PPV cards always blow...
If top Rank plans on making Garcia a future PPV attraction, why not put him underneath Manny vs Bradley on April 12th? It would help with sales and possibly bring new fans his way if he wins impressively.
