His chin's not on that Danny Garcia-level, but his recovery is excellent.
Yeah when we talk abt granite chin, Danny comes into mind. The shots he took from Matthysse were pretty solid and he took ate them like nothing happened.
I think he has one of the best chins in the sport. I remember he got hit with a punch he didn't see by Holt in the first round. Went down took a knee got up at the count eight regrouped and won the fight. There was no way I thought he was going to get up from that punch but he did.
Bradley took so many right hands by Prov. I was like damn really a lot of fighters would have been KO by those punches.
It's not........
It's not an excuse because he clearly won all of those fights. My reason for saying it, is this, when you are the best at what you do for so long, you lose hunger and motivation. This is a fact in all facets of life. In the Rios fight, Manny looked hungry again. His balance was great, his hand-speed, power, and accuracy was good as well. He resembled the Manny of old. You know, the hungry Manny. We'll see what happens in April. My money will be on Manny. Bradley has not improved much since their first encounter. He still throws wide, looping shots. He stills throws bunches of punches for no reason; kinda like Khan does. He'll throw a lot of jabs, but don't expect him to do much damage with it. Manny's power and accuracy will be the deciding factor in my opinion. He has a lot left.
Cool. The knock down is what clearly won the fight for Ruslan in my book. The hardest thing to do in the ring, is score a clean knock down. If the knock down didn't happen in the 12th, TB wins a decision for the work he did in the middle rounds. I like Bradley as a fighter but on April 12th, I won't. All he did before the first fight was talk crazy as if he was going to go toe to toe with Manny. We all saw what happened in the fight and Manny wasn't 100% focused. Now Bradley is claiming that this fight will be "easier" than the last time and that "Manny lacks killer instinct". Meanwhile, Manny is quietly pumped as he said the other day. He said once again that he doesn't care who's in front of him, he always comes to win. I believe him so we shall be in for a GREAT fight!
I don't get why people use "not motivated" or "not focused" as an excuse. That's garbage!
Granite chin? Absolutely not. He's been put down hard on repeated occasions. Let's reserve the term "granite" for the guys who seem virtually unshakable and we've seen a good many number throughout the history of the sport. Bradley has a "granite" mind if anything. Incredible will and toughness. His punch resistance is slightly better than average.
Exactly. His chin is OK, will be floored by massive shots, wobbled by big shots. This is why I think Khan's chin isn't as bad as what people make it out to be - the difference is that Bradley has extremely good recovery and determination, whereas Khan just doesn't recover (can't fault him on his determination)
Bradley's ability to recover is one of his biggest assets
Cool.

yea granite chin is not getting wobbled or knocked down. people throwing this term around too much. Right now you can say Chavez Jr has a granite chin as hes never been knocked down i believe. Rios we shall see if he ever fights Provodnikov cuz Pac landed some hard CLean shots on him that were bombs and he didnt wobble
I agree with this post 100%. Manny is a vet, he's smarter than casual fans give him credit for, and last time I checked, he is a special fighter who has achieved so much for a reason. There are levels to boxing. If you watched the Mosley fight, Roidquez lll, and the first fight with Bradley, you notice how Manny's desire, balance, and discipline wasn't the same. However, he still seemed to out-skill and outpoint his opponents in all of those fights. In the Rios fight, he showed speed, power, ring-generalship, defensive skills, and most importantly, discipline. When he is on his game, he is almost impossible to beat. In April, he will win and win convincingly. If it's anyone 1-2 in their last three fights, as Floyd claims, it's TB. Manny beat him and Ruslan beat him. He has improved as a fighter but he still makes amateurish mistakes and he isn't the smartest fighter either. Manny is smarter and Manny is better and more skilled. Bradley can throw 100 jabs a round and it still won't help him. Manny WILL land and land often. I think his power will be the deciding factor in the rematch. Bradley will get caught throwing those wide shots he always throws, except Manny will be tighter and more accurate this time.
Pretty much this. Im not sure he lost the Prov fight. Prov got tired in the middle rounds and TB started to box very well, but against Pacquiao he got outclass. People who says Manny has a sh*tty defense just need to look at how he moved from TB punches pretty easily. Pac didnt land has much powerful shots as some people make it seems, but he outclassed Bradley pretty easily by fighting 1 min a round. If anybody wants to bet that Manny will beat Bradley, I got a small million to bet. Anybody whos says Bradley won that fight is either dumb or blind. I still like Bradley has a fighter cause he got some heart on him. :boxing:
I agree.
