If they're desperate for numbers, and can somehow shift 60,000+ tickets, it has to be the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff. Its the only stadium in the UK with a retractable roof.
The O2 is a great venue, but isn't it limited to 18,000-20,000?
Wembley also has a retractable roof -- but it's not available as Weebler says...
Froch will "happily" defend against his mandatory Groves
Weebler said from the very beginning that Hearn is going to make this rematch next -- with or without Froch's consent.
(I'll always prefer watching a straightforward British brawl than watching Ward tying up opponents all night long.)
To be honest, the people claiming Froch was ducking this guy were embarrassing themselves. Froch has proved that he will fight anyone.
I just didn't think it was in his character to swerve anyone. Froch has said before he doesn't fight primarily for money, he said it in this interview again but they interrupted him.
You never did respond to my bet proposal, Weeb.
As Earl says, the Emirates is a reasonable venue if they want an outdoor event.
I never saw your bet proposal man.
Hope it happens and hope it happens at some place like Emirates, would be awesome. I can understand stadiums being too big for a fight for people with "cheap" tickets but the atmosphere alone would be a killer. I was at Haye v Chisora, had decent seats at Upton Park and it was very good.
ive been saying hern was a dodgy git before the groves froch fight was announced
we can talk specifics if you want
All promoters are dodgy in some way. It still can't be argued that Hearn is the most successful in Britain and would be good for Groves' career. Groves should actually thank Hearn for getting him into the IBF no1 slot for the first fight - Groves was actually no4 or 5.
In case you didn't know, it is standard procedure to ask for options when a fighter isn't the mandatory challenger. It's nothing to do with being dodgy.
Groves is now the mandatory so no options but he gets 15% of the money instead of the 25% he was offered.
So what morally upstanding promoter is Groves going to sign with? :lol1:
Fans of Ugly Kid should hardly be ones to talk about dodgy wins considering his "victories" over Anderson and DeGale. And bringing shame upon British boxing? From the guy who dumped the British title in the bin?

success based on dodgy wins bringing shame upon British boxing, mind you frank warren is exactly the same

Dodgy Hearn? The guy who is currently the most successful promoter in the UK??
Good for Ugly Kid, now he'll make less money :pat:

recent interview on ifilm let slip he likes to talk to judges and ref few days before a fight to discuss how they should score and what to look for, dodgy hern
hearn DNSAB , this dude said froch was unconscious when he got off the canvas:pat: and larry holmes told him anthony joshua will get injured if he fights 2 fights in 2 weeks and lo and behold - he gets injured with a bicep tear!
as well as a 2 year long contract with dodgy hern
froch knew groves wud decline, thus he quickly moved on to talk about a fight with chavez, but his plans hit a roadblock when he was told he will have to rematch or lose his belt.
frochs dislike for groves has now intensified a trillion times, so much hate and resentment
he's let his emotions get the better of him, it will cost him in the ring, out of character for froch to be so angry to where his hands were shaking trying to cage his emotions in
groves has frochs card marked, better hope hern has paid off the judges and ref

SO WHY you got khan beating floyd?!?!
floyds age, he's picked up injuries in his last two fights, low workrate, underestimating khans chin
add to that khans speed, ability to fight at long range, jab, and to athletically keep up with floyd
Frankie bruno, ill give u 3 to 1 odds on howvere many points groves wont KO froch!!!!!! FROCH HAS ATG CHIN!
he put him down once, he'll do it again
last time he was saved by the bell
Is that why he offered Ugly Kid a 7 figure purse?

Good for Froch. It's the right thing to do in my opinion. He was losing the fight and the referee stopped the fight way too soon. Maybe Froch would have finished him off anyway but maybe not. A rematch shows he is still a good champion and should show who is the better fighter.
Not a big fan of out door events, but if it's a must I think it should be in an old school English ground like Nottingham Forest, Stamford Bridge or Upton Park.
Emirates wouldn't do well with people I think. Too big and no atmosphere.
Is there a rooftop on Emirates anyway? If not, it might turn into a mighty mess.
I think the O2 is still by far the best Arena to make it in, but Hearn has a point in terms of him wanting to see how big it could be. I'd like it to be in Nottingham if it was outdoors. Then Froch could swipe that off his list and go to Vegas for his farewell fight.
