I got Thurman. I think he'd be able to create some space and land some hard shots, using Porter's momentum against him.

I agree with you I was just making the point... I don't know really, this is a very interesting fight, Porter is stronger, they both have awesome stamina.. this is a very good fight indeed. Right. Don't get me wrong. I'm not sitting here 110% sure Porter wins, but from what I've seen of both guys, considering opponents as well, Porter should win this fight. But, I wouldn't even blink an eye if Thurman won. That's just disrespectful to Thurman.

Thurman would decimate Paulie even worse than Porter did. He'd be stretchered out of the ring unconscious. I think the same thing, but styles make fights, and I think Porter beats Thurman. Just like Tyson would decimate any other guy faster than Holyfield, but Holyfield beats Tyson.

I like Thurman more. You like Thurman more, as in, you prefer him over Porter, or you think he has an even better chance to win after seeing Porter decimate Paulie?

porter wins. he would smother Thurman, negating his power. he would not give Thurman room to punch. from what I've seen of Thurman, I don't think he would know how to defend or stop porter's aggressiveness. good fight though. I don't think this fight will happen for a couple of years, but would not mind seeing it whenever it happens.

don't know really, Thurman is yet to face a B grade fighter so we'll have to see how he does against one. To be fair, Chaves is a BEAST, but I get what you're saying.

Like both guys a lot but I'll give the edge to Thurman. Hell of a fight though.

I'll go with Thurman because he seems to be trending upward. He's really worked hard to gt better.

Start from the Alfonso Gomez fight, and go from there. The kid improves in every single fight.

Thurman Ko in 2 to 5 rounds Re watched Thurman's last 2 fights, and watched Porter's last 5 fights last night. Thurman isn't as coordinated, movement wise to land a KO shot like that on Porter. Porter's chin is NASTY. Ever since the draw with Diaz, he's improved in every single fight. Goes onto shut him out in the rematch. Thurman kind of just moves to move. It looks like running, and on further review, after watching his last 2 fights, I don't even think he's as explosive as Porter. He's definitely a harder hitter, but nothing so special that he's gonna take Porter out. No way on this planet does Thurman KO Porter in 2 to 5 rounds. I suggest you watch Porter's last 5 fights, and try and tell me that Thurman's gonna KO this guy.

Thurman was a 154 pounder came down to 147 and is still strong as a bull. He is the future after Pac and May (even though May is a 154 lb. fighter). Thurman vs. Ortiz, Maidanna, Guerrero, Bradley, Pac, Mayweather, Provacadiv, Rios, Alvarez are going to be great wars that are going to keep the welterweight division on fire. Thurman can be a star in this division if he can get these fights.Mayweather is not a 154 pound fighter. He tried to make Canelo fight him at 147 and they compromised at a catchweight of 152.His next fight is with Khan who has never fought above 143. One thing Mayweather will not do is fight the best 154 pounders like Canelo and Lara at the full 154 pounds.
