Well he holds a world title at 175 for a start. Ward hasn't fought there as a pro. He also has an 88% KO ratio, most of those coming within 4 rounds even against top 10 opponents.
given what Ward has done, isn't it hard to make the statement "Kovalev destroys ward" on this information. Top 10? Who?
Golovkin destroys this vagina. Too bad he'll never grow the balls to face Golovkin OR Kovalev for that matter. Either crush this pathetic excuse of a "top P4Per".
based on?????????

He's developed a style that's extremely difficult to beat. There's no standout threat at 168, maybe GGG if he fancied a moved up...
I'd probably put money on Kovalev, if I had to pick one.
He retired. It was Joe Calzaghe, the 2006-2007 peak version. You need to be that versatile.
All these fools thinking power will beat any style, just foolish. You need handspeed, activity, good footwork, stamina to beat Ward. Calzaghe had the best chance. These new guys, Stevenson, Kovalev, Ant Dirrell, Groves, DeGale, they don't have much of a chance.
I'd say active, it is Bernard Hopkins, and even he loses an ugly close fight. 2nd is Jean Pascal, that would be tough but also loses probably. I'd love to see Ward vs Hopkins and Pascal, those are the two most competitive fights IMO. Groves is not a bad fight either.
I made a poll about a Calzaghe v Ward matchup a while back, I'll find you the link so you can see the results...
Here we are: http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/showthread.php?t=622874 Ward still heavily favoured...

I agree, Kev.

Kovalev yes, Stevenson no IMO... :boxing: Actually as I write I can't really decide - it would depend at what weight... Kovalev just has that crazy power which Ward hasn't felt before, he could outbox Sergey but I just think he would get tagged at some point. I think Stevenson could do it but I'd say the higher chance goes to Kovalev slightly 55/45. :boxing:
