The negotiations between Manny Pacquiao and Tim Bradley have hit a snag, according to Fighthype. It seems that Top Rank wants to lock the 30-year-old Bradley into a multi-fight contract extension as part of giving him the second fight against the 35-year-old Pacquiao. In other words, for Bradley to get the rematch with Pacquiao, he’ll have to re-sign with Top Rank for a certain amount of fights, even though it’s Top Rank who wants Bradley to fight Pacquiao in the first place.
Bradley’s contract with the company is said to be done by the end of the year. Bradley still has at least one fight left in his current contract with Top Rank after the Pacquiao bout, and it’s unclear why they would push for him to re-sign right now rather waiting for his final fight of the year to attempt to re-sign him.

Lots of posters on here said Arum fixed the judges for Bradley to win the first fight with Pacquiao. Now you're saying Arum will fix the judging so that Bradley can only win by KO and not possibly win on points. Why would Arum want Pacquiao to lose and then want Pacquiao to win? I think it's possible that two of the judges just made a very bad call in the first Pacquiao-Bradley fight but were not bribed. I think it is possible that no judges will be bribed for the rematch and the judges will just score the fight the way they truly see. it. Saying that the judges are absolutely bribed and the fight is fixed almost sounds like a built in excuse for Bradley if he loses on points.
I am not saying anything about Arum bribing anybody. I am saying Bradley doesn't have a style to overwhelm Pac and the fight will be close. In a close fight judges will not want to be perceived as robbing a popular guy like Pac again so that's why I say there is no way Bradley gets another decision.
Who knows what happened in the first fight but I am not going to accuse anyone of bribery when no facts show that.
Rematch. What are they going to do for him if he does beat Pac? Ruslan rematch? That early into an extension..no. The though is he loses this rematch, they fight again and possibly sell out Pac (fighting pac two more times is a LOT of exposure)...then he could fight randoms, maybe fight Prov and just in general troll Floyd.
That is... If you believe this kind of ish would be done.
That's assuming he does beat Pacquaio. If he loses though, I doubt he'll get a rematch anytime soon. They'll just try Marquez again, and if not, Ruslan or even Cotto.

Bradley is no dummie. He knows the second that he signs on for the Pac rematch his undefeated record is out the window. Under no circumstances will he be getting another decision over Manny and he is not knocking the guy out.
I think Tim is ok with that as long as TR is willing to up his guaranteed money after that but Bob seems to want to low ball him before he is no longer undefeated so that is most likely the hold up.
Tim's manager said they would resign as long as its an increase in guaranteed money but TR doesn't want to do that.
And no its not a violation of the Ali act. That provision only pertains to a fighters mandatory can't be forced to sign with the promoter of the champion to get a fight he is owed anyway. Pac is not Bradley's mandatory.

Bradley shouldn't do it...
He is a champ and p4p guy,, manny is low on options at this point
Bradley has other options like jmm 2, ruslan 2,, or maybe just sit out
Tim has to know that if he wasn't with top rank he could get the Floyd fight
Good point don mega.
“prohibits a promoter from requiring a boxer to sign an exclusive promotional agreement as a precondition to obtaining a bout agreement with another boxer signed by the same promoter.”
thats not what the ail act says. it only appiles when the fighter being forced to sign the promotional agreement is the mandatory challenger for the belt of the other fighter. that one tidbit is quite important.
I can understand Arum wanting to keep Bradley with Top Rank. Bradley is a very good fighter but I think Top Rank helped make him a bigger name than he was before. They don't want to pass him on to Golden Boy which is where he would probably go. Arum should offer him very good money and the promise of good pay and good fights in the future. If the Pacquiao-Bradley fight is a good fight with both men putting on a good show then Arum has two stars at welterweight.

Wow. Fighthype making TR look bad again. What's new?
Did they ever care about Gamboa's plight when the kid
wanted so much to join his idol, Money Mayweather? Turned
out that Money Mayweather didn't give a fvck about the Cuban.
:unitedsta
Why would Bradley wanna leave?
GBP can't build stars, just look at what GBP did to Canelo, Broner and Mares last year.
GBP/SHO is also broke from the floyd deal which is why they are pushing the Canelo 3X PPV this year
I guess we know who wins Bradley vs Pac II...its been a good run Pac but next in line...PLEASE!!!
Oh yeah I almost forget...guess who Mayweather will be scared of, ducking next...You Got It...
Oh as soon as Bradley signs an extension he'll be advertised as Floyd's boogyman knowing full well that fight wont happen. Arum getting ready for it.
Right now people think Floyd-Bradley is feasible but once Bradley signs that extension we're going to have... Delusional Bradley fanatics . Oh lawd god help us.
"timmy will KO him with activity and determination! Lolz Floyd shook"

WWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!! Told you'se guyz
Top Rank is ridiculous. I wish people would stop joining them and they just died out already. Bradley will get a huge payday fighting Pacquiao and then it's back to recycled fights. Tough choice for Bradley but ultimately it's up to him.
On the other hand this is coming from Fighthype which is composed of Golden Boy shills/fanboys.
I'd say it's composed of al Haymon shills
Tim's too big for TR, Arum can't control him..........told you guys that....also told you Pac would lose and that Arum would try to build Tim into a star. Tim is just a smart business man with too much heart for him to be owned.
