Former light-heavyweight champion Nathan Cleverly is considering linking up with trainer Adam Booth ahead of his cruiserweight debut.
Cleverly hasn't fought since losing his world title to Sergey Kovalev in August, and the Welsh fighter's father and current trainer Vince has revealed that his son is contemplating a move to the former trainer of David Haye and George Groves.
Cleverly senior is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "He's trying things out with Adam Booth at the moment in London to see how that's working out so there's a couple of different things that's going on.
"We've been together since 11 years of age. Sometimes, there comes a time in life where you need to try different things, and Nathan has got to be taken out of his comfort zone."
The 26-year-old has withdrawn from his first bout at cruiserweight on three occasions due to injury.

Thoughts?
Might work nicely for Clev....as long as he properly commits, listens and learns. Booth has no other major projects to work with and he could do a good job here; especially with Price out of the equation. Both men have a lot to prove and have been on the slide; that can sometimes work.
I like Cleverly, I think he probably moved to cruiser a bit too quickly but his main problem I see is that he seems to have fallen out of love with boxing! Maybe I'm wrong but I think Booth will improve him.. And hopefully change him from just trying to be Joe Calzaghe-Lite!
Well it correlates with his recent fight pull-out.
I don't know what Booth will add to Cleverly's game, he's a good boxer who took an L but appears to have overreacted and left the entire division for one, which on paper at least, does not suit him.
Cleverly's only 26, Hopkins and Stevenson are close to retiring. He had no need to jump ship imo.
