I know Floyd isn't even a genuine LMW, but I think he could beat Quillin and it would give him a title at 160.
Far more exciting than Maidana or Khan which will be easy wins.
I pointed that out 2/3 months ago but was told the population of Cubans in America wasn't that much.. I find that strange but am not going to argue with a Cuban or American Cuban poster.
Don't believe me, Ray? Here's a link:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cuban_American
There are significantly less than two million Cubans and Cuban-Americans in the United States. That's less than half of all the Puerto Ricans on the U.S. mainland, and a tiny fraction of the greater than 34 million Mexican and Mexican-Americans in the U.S.
25% of all Cuban-Americans are college graduates, about twice the average of other Hispanic groups; 39% of all U.S.-born Cuban-Americans are college graduates, as compared to 30% of non-Hispanic whites. (The statistics in this paragraph were taken from the Wikipedia link above.)
Feel free to make all the inferences you want with the above information.
Floyd Mayweather Jr (5′ 8″) should take the fight with Hopkin, Martinez or Kid Chocolate in later 2014
Miguel Cotto (5′ 7”) coming soon to Middleweight's
Oscar De La Hoya (5′ 10½″)
Thomas Hearns (6’1”)
Sugar Ray Leonard (5’10″)
Roberto Duran (5′ 7”)
Henry Armstrong (5’5 ½”)
Sugar Ray Robinson (5’11”)
^ those guys when up to middleweight
You seriously are sitting there listing fighters heights with a straight face? I bet you typed that post all serious too, like you actually thought what you typed was clever. Boxrec'ed their exact heights and all, for a post that makes no sense.
If Cuban fans actually showed support to Cuban fighters, yes I can see it. But Cuban fans are almost non-existent.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. undefeated champion at 130. 135, 140, 147 and 154, the greatest defensive wizard of his generation would never move up to 160, no matter how much his fans believe he can win fights at that weight.
This is the same man who skipped out on fights against Margarito and Paul Williams, taking on the likes of Baldomir instead. This is the same guy who didn't want to fight a prime Mosley cos "Mosley has 5 losses and I never fight anyone with that many losses" or a prime Cotto cos, "He's lost, why should I fight him after he's lost?"
You think this same man would fight a much bigger guy who hits damn hard? :usa2:
Just my opinion but if Floyd beats Pacquiao, Lara, Bradley and gets a middleweight title it'd be hard to argue he's not a top 5 ww. It'd be out of character for Floyd to accept difficult fights like these though

You know very well it would be at a 155 CW. Yeah Money beats Kid Chocolate.
It seems unlikely Mayweather would fight at 160 when he refused to let Canelo weigh more than 152. I don't think Floyd will be fighting anybody over welterweight until he retires. If Mayweather wanted to prove he is the best middleweight in the world then GGG is who he should fight.
That'd be an incredible fight. He'd win so many fans over with fights like this.
He had his chance years ago with Sergio, Sergio offer him 20/80 split or something like that Floyd declined tho.
I understand Mayweathers hustle its understandable. but Fights like these would have really won over fans.

True itd definitely be a step in the right direction.
Krillin, I mean quillin is untested.
But if he were to take this fight and than fight a sergio
I would have a TON of respect for FLOYD (win or lose) I would actually be a fan of his.
This is actually a solid idea. His legacy would improve tremendously.
Than again its not about legacy its about money
