What an absolute twit. He's even arguing with facts. Lol.
You're nothing more than a delusional hater. You can't help but make threads about things like this hoping people see it the way you do but keep getting crushed. Then you call rational posters like me who have a lot more boxing knowledge than yourself wrong. Just admit it, you hate the Klitschko's and want everyone else to as well. It's not hard, just think of it as a few step program in an attempt to have at least part of a brain.

Why waste everyones time? I'm back to leaving you on ignore now.
Yet you participated in much of this thread.

OK pal, please get me on ignore. And don't forget you came to my thread.
You are one of those guys who claim to have watched boxing for 30 years, yet you only post about two fighters. eh.. I doubt it. You are the one who gets emotionally upset every time someone says something critical of your two favourite fighters and on that basis I'm confident most other posters would agree that I contribute more to this forum than you do.
Anyways, you're back on ignore.
Bye bye.
Everyone? 1/3 voted that Lennox's win over Golota is better than any Wlad win.
I started this thread when I was drunk last night, just looking for a bit of fun. Wlad has got a couple of better wins in terms of names. Povetkin, Byrd, Haye are three I would say are better.
And how did he beat them exactly? 36 of the most unwatchable fights in heavyweight championsship history.
Impressive.

I'm not going to dispute that, I'm just not 100% sold on him beating Tyson. Tyson still had the money punch. But really always had bad stamina. A body like that is not built to last.
Yeah of course, he was beaten from pillar to post in most parts of the fight.
Fight of the losers. Would have been fun.
yea it also wouldn't surprise me one bit if hed have starched peter. he still had that explosiveness
Haha, no I most certainly don't think so. Both were in a war that was taking lots out of both fighters.
Vitali has always said it was the toughest fight of his life and he was hit harder than ever before. How exactly do you translate that to 'winning it handily'?
It's such a dumb idea, that not even Vitali agrees with you.
Was he ahead of the fight 4-2? Probably.

the younger in shape peter that fought wlad the first time may have had enough chin to hang in there and tire Tyson out. Tyson's stamina was very poor at that point. Tyson would have knocked out the post wlad peter. I think the wlad fight really took a lot out of peter altho he never got knocked down. he never seemed the same after that

'Post-Lennox' Tyson v 'Post-Wlad' Peter would have been a funny fight...I mean as in their state right after those fights, before they fought anyone else.

BTW, two things worth adding...the recent fights where fans have complained about lack of clinical endings v Wlad must be somewhat attributed to his corner, they obviously aren't giving him the right encouragement/tactics to finish fights like Manny would have done...Steward was tight defence and then clinical offence, now it just seems like safety first, guarantee the W tactics.
Also, I bet if Wlad had beaten Tyson in the same way Lennox did around that time, many would just say it was a shot version of Tyson and is a flawed win...
I don't know.
Never thought much of Peter, but he was clearly better the first time against Wlad than the second.
Not sold on him beating Tyson of '02-

I meant more the first time when he was actually dangerous, that version of Peter would have probably beat 2002 Tyson, clearly the post Vitali beating version was pretty much gone.

Peter was definitely shot. He'd been beaten to a pulp by Vitali and Wlad already, struggled with Toney a couple of times, down thrice vs mcline, lost to chambers.

Bear in mind these fights took place after Wlad's change of tactics and style under Manny Steward:
Povetkin - Not shot; undefeated; Never down before - down 4 times in the fight
Wach - Not shot; Never down before/steel chin - on steroids for the fight
Peter - Not shot; dangerous fighter - eventually stopped in second fight after being generally outboxed for entirety of first one
Chagaev - Not shot; decent fighter with some decent wins; undefeated at the time and belt holder - stopped in 9
Basically, Tyson was a shell of himself at that time and was probably a worse fighter in that period than either of these guys you've listed, minus Wach - the others would have a fair chance of beating him, and we know Tyson wasn't exactly iron-chinned.
At that time, Wlad was not a 'defensive hugger' - if you want to use such terminology - so wouldn't have employed such tactics - Mercer is your clear example of a 'shot, stationary target' and he could hardly land on Wlad and was made mincemeat out of. I see the Tyson fight would have been similar...you may not agree, that's fine.

yea,,,the povetkin fight was definitely embarrassing and one of wlads worst fights. I actually think he would have kayod povetkin early and beaten him easier if he wouldn't have held so much. he actually kept povetkin from falling a couple times by grabbing him,,lol. he hurt him every time he touched him. that fight still puzzles me
I think so too! That's why it was so horrible. Wlad could have gotten him out of there in 3 rounds if he committed to it. But he's afraid to commit to finishing someone even when they are stumbling around like a drunk man on saturday night.
By the way, I think everyone knows deep down, or maybe not even that deep.. That Lewis is a better version of Wlad who fought in a better era.
I think that's pretty obvious to most people.
Really? Like the way Wlad has put a similar beating on......... ???
Even the likes of stationary heavies such as Povetkin, Wach, Peter, Chagaev went longer with Wlad than Tyson did with Lewis.
Wlad would have hugged Tyson to a 12 round decision. He would never come flying out of the corner to land a big uppercut. He's a safety first jab-grabbing machine.

Naturally I mean against an at least somewhat talented fighter.
I dare say that Tyson of '02 would beat the Povetkin Wlad fought. Or at least make it competitive. And Wlad had to hug that guy more than 100 times to beat him.
