The 5% hardcore Mayweather Jr. fans.
I have to tell you I like Manny Pacquiao but not in that kind of Mayweather Jr. fans' way. I know Manny Pacquiao fought Brandon Rios not to prove he's the greatest but to see if he still got it after getting knocked out by Marquez. I can also acknowledge that they fought Rios just to get Pacquiao on the winning streak again. Of course Mayweather Jr. fans will say Pacquiao is cherry picking but most of Mayweather Jr.'s fans don't really know anything about boxing because they don't understand the concept of a tune up fight.
They are the same fans who support Mayweather Jr. vs. Khan because to Floyd it makes sense. To Floyd it's good business. All of a sudden these Mayweather Jr. fans who used to be thugs when Floyd was sleeping in jail are now all of a sudden a bunch of business men.
Seriously it's too easy to find these 5% haters. Just go on youtube and type in Manny Pacquiao. They are everywhere hating. Go on every boxing forum and they're everywhere yapping about how Manny Pacquiao doesn't deserve to fight Mayweather Jr.
Basically Mayweather Jr. is sabotaging the biggest pay day of his life by not fighting Manny Pacquiao and his fans who are supposedly business minded are all for it. I guess I forget that in business it's all about smart decisions. Losing Floyd's zero is not a great business move. But then again boxing is half business and half fighting. I guess Floyd has finally lost his balls.
Which is funny because no matter how much you make these clowns mad they will always find a way not to take on Manny Pacquiao. Instead of telling their boy to take on Pacquiao and silence his fans they will only say oh oh 40 million, 40 million, Bob Arum, Bob Arum, and the verbal diarrhea goes on.
And there you have it. If you have the symptoms please need not reply. Thank you.

Well I would take a guy coming off a career win over an undefeated rising star over a cheat who just got humiliated by Mosley (everyone calls him over the hill to fit their argument) and was suspended for being one of the biggest cheats the sport has seen.
Meh you call Beryo an "undefeated rising star" I'd call him a hype job. Not everyone was buying the Berto hype back then. I sure wasn't. Especially after collazo.
I'd take Margarito trying to prove he's a warrior and trying to prove he didn't just win because of cheating. Over mental midget ortiz who is a notorious quitter who believes he shouldn't take punishment
So now Berto was not a rising star when him and Ortiz fought? Ok dude
Berto hit a breaking point. We saw his peak. 'Rising' is the wrong for him since he was exposed not once, but thrice. Hindsight is 20/20 so call him what he is a hype job
that Margarito takes Ortiz to hell and makes him quit like a babyback b1tch.

You misread obviously. I said, and i will quote myself, "one coming of a win over an undefeated rising star." So please go back and re-read again.
And like I said, the ortiz floyd fought > the margarito manny fought. Sometimes its not who you fight, its when you fight them.

Just for the record and Richard Schafer said it him self in yesterday's post about Robert Guerrero. Jmm was on his ass about getting him the floyd fight. Jmm chose to go 2 weight classes to fight floyd. Floyd ddidn't drag him up 2 weight classes. He said it himself he begged him for the fight and lost every second of every round.
Ortiz was the furthest thing from undefeated. He had he's soul taken by Maidana how can you forget that.
"I wasn't there that night bro" " ill I did was walk into the right hand, what's the big deal bro"
Floyd infamously ducked Margarito. manny fought Marg
Besides
Marg>>>>> Ortiz

what's all this talk about canelo beat pacquiao?? haha yeah right. I'm guessing the fight would be at 152 hypothetically.
Canelo would get battered. I swear to god people don't even follow canelos career it's disgusting. Canelo struggles all the time with lower level opposition. Yes he's young and has a bright future but come real with real selfs people just because canelo is "cute" or whatever you guys think he's not any where near a complete fighter yet.
Manny tears canelo up. makes him look like bam bam rios

This message is more for the Stanny fans.
See that? Rios was a tune up. A purposeful easy win to get that confidence back.
At WW Rios>>> Nobody.
Do you know why I left out Shane? He's been irrelevant. But almost ktfo Floyd in 2 :lol1:
Are we now making excuses for the Juan fight with Floyd?
At least Pac had the balls to fight Tony, Floyd just bought out his contract and bailed so he wouldn't have to kiss his 0 goodbye.
Clottley? Didn't he give Cotto a tough fight?
Oh pulleeazz. Everyone knows Plaster Knuckles renounced his nationality before the ink dried on their contract.

I'm just sayin', maybe Manny should'a taken that test and fought Floyd like he promised instead of suing in court for chump change. Know what I'm sayin'?
'cause then he wanted to fight Rios with random blood and urine tests just in case he had KO power like Marquez.
Know what I'm sayin'?

Gotta love edgarg:
Floyd beating HAtton isn't big becuase he struggled with Collazo and the fight was at 147, But manny beating the Hatton that struggled with Collazo and was knocked out by floyd is big. hahahah.
Your the same guy who trumpets Mannys win over Erik Morales despite him being totaly and completely defeated by Zahir Raheem.
Don't be too obsessed with the past. Floyd is contemplating of fighting Amir Khan that's what you need to worry about. Floyd is just getting worst fighting Robert Guerrero thinking he can sell some tickets because he's Mexican. Floyd is too worried about numbers these days now he wants Amir Khan. Who does he want next Brad Pitt?
Pretty boy can't sell millions on his own.
What's even worst is that by fighting Manny Pacquiao he can break records but listen to him and his followers talk. Oh we won't fight unless Manny Pacquiao leaves Bob Arum. Oh Pacquiao had his chance he was offered 40 million.
Floyd you said Pacquiao is easy money. Listen dummy take the money and go home.
Floyd you said Pacquiao needs to take the test to prove he's clean. Pacquiao is willing to take the test.
Dont worry about Pacquiao's numbers. Dont worry about his tax problems. Now it's your turn to prove you're not a coward and take on the real test in Manny Pacquiao.
No more Amir Khan level of fighters. September Floyd. We're waiting on you.
Did a quick reality check on your list for you. Once in a life time is a bit of a stretch. I'd go with second best of his generation if I were to be fair.
Who's alt/banned account are you anyway?
You know what's funny is that you can't beat any of the fighters I listed even if they were 65 years old.
Do you think Juan Manuel Lopez could move up in weight and beat your so called weight drain Oscar De La Hoya?
Do you think Guillermo Rigondeaux could move up and beat your so called past his prime Miguel Cotto?
Do you think Nonito Donaire could move up and destroy a shot Antonio Margarito?
Do you think Naseem Hamed could move up and beat a coming off a loss in Shane Mosley? Heck I would bet Naseem Hamed gets retired by an old fat Erik Morales.
Stop with the hating. Mannny Pacquiao has tremendous skills and gifts in boxing. Manny Pacquiao beats Floyd Mayweather Jr. anytime worst than what Miguel Cotto already did. And when that's all said and done you'll say Floyd loss because not only was he out of prime but in fact he was officially gay.
Talk about a reality check, get this kid out of here because he's been officially schooled.
Just to point out a little ...ahem...fact for the imbeciles. Hatton was a career light welterweight. He fought Phoney at Phoney's weight-welterweight. Hatton's ONLY previous attempt at welterweight-to prepare himself for Mayweather- was against Luis Collazzo and all the ringsiders were unanimous in declaring that Collazzo won the fight. Hatton said that 147 was not his weight and he just couldn't do well in it. Then hewent back to his proper weight for a few more fights before Phoney tempted him with a big paycheck to come up again to welterweight. He did, and as I recall, the ref wouldn't allow him to in-fight at all, which ruined his whole game and plans. A Mayweather ref.
Those were the only 2 welterweight fights Hatton ever had, and he lost both of them. When Pacquiao fought him he came down to Hatton's proper weight, and MannyP nearly knocked his head off.
There's no comparison in the merit of each fight to the other. Pacquiao didn't take a weight advantage, but Phoney Phloyd did. Which was normal for him...some sort of advantage or else he wouldn't fight. This has ALWAYS been his mode of operation. Well known for it.
Of course this info is not worth my writing down because the droolers won't or can't even read it and it wouldn't soak in even if they could.

First bold point- I never stated berto is a better fighter than the shot versions of Mosley, margarito or rios. I think they are all about the same level, with maybe the berto that ortiz fought being a step ahead. However the point I was making was that ortiz and Guerrero actually proved something by coming into the Floyd fight off a win against a solid gatekeeper in berto unlike mannys opponents you state (margarito, rios, Mosley) who came in off clear loses.
The second bold point which I've left as you said- I really don't care too much what a fighter says before a fight. Sure they can lie and contradict themselves. Tyson said he wanted to eat Lewis's heart and children, Floyd said he would never fight at a catch weight.
All that matters is the fight itself. Canelo was only a pound under what he weighed in against trout. You can't say that single pound gifted Floyd a shutout.
You've made some decent points in your reply and are entitled to your opinion. However, I've bolded the statements you've made that I have contention with.
Firstly, I don't think Berto deserved to be "the road to Floyd Mayweather." He was hyped up to be but was exposed, not once but thrice. I could understand Ortiz beating him and getting his shot at Floyd. It's understandable to buy into hype sometimes, especially the kind Berto had but then Guerrero fights him in another clear but close war and then GUERRERO gets a shot at Floyd!!? Fool me once but not three times.
Secondly, as to caring about the human aspect of Floyd - the things he does and says - I'm perfectly within my right to pass judgement on the man when he does something despicable, whether it's attacking his baby's mother, going on a racist rant or falling back on his word, just as you are within your right to overlook them. As a boxing fan, I'm upset that we were robbed of a better Canelo fight (even as miniscule of a difference it may have been) for no other reason than for Floyd to give himself an easier time in the ring. (Yes, I'm aware that Canelo would've still brought his terrible gameplan and gotten shut out).
Lastly, Canelo coming in at 153 for the Trout fight was his prerogative. The weight limit for a JMW is 154 and it's his job and prerogative to decide at what weight he will come in at. Fighters have to sacrifice a part of their training camp to cut in weight. Floyd demanding another two pounds takes away prep time for more technical matters. For all we know, Canelo's allotment of 153 at weigh-in is maybe what he felt was best against Trout. Canelo may have wanted that extra pound for Floyd but didn't even have the right to it. As we know now it was an advantage he didn't need. On top of all this, Floyd has the nerve to say Canelo's team wanted it.
I can't support this man in the ring for this and many other reasons and it's fine if you can. I acknowledge his talent and skills but that's as far as it goes.
2 lbs under the limit @ 154 is not as bad as 2 lbs under the limit at 147 (what Pac drained Cotto down to) because 2/147 > 2/154 (higher % of extra weight had to be lost by Cotto).
I like how you didn't provide the percentage figures in hopes that idiots around here don't know how to count.
2/147=0.013 or 1.3%
2/154=0.012 or 1.2%
A difference of .1% or .001 in other words negligible.
If you think Cotto is drained at 145 then Canelo is drained at 152.

Completely untrue, once again.
