Many of us are eager to see Manny attempt to get over the hump and win a boring, tactical fight against a "runner".
Pac has exciting fights to spare, I'm interested in seeing him outbox a top fighter someone in this next fight.
Yeah it seems to be wide open again, weird considering the fight is in 3 months
Those dates are not set in stone and it is unknown if there is background talk with any fighter out there
No rational person could give Bradley more than 4 rounds scoring that fight objectively. But what's funny is to hear the Bradley apologists saying stuff like: "it will be interesting to see what Bradley does with two good legs", as if Pac's speed, footwork and awkward angles didn't have anything to do with Bradley leaving in a wheelchair. That's the equivalent of getting juked by a crossover and saying: "that wouldn't have happened if I hadn't fallen down"
PAC-Bradley was about as interesting as May-Guerrero. A rematch to 'avenge' the loss is absurd
a loss is a loss. Chavez got outboxed by Pernell back in day but went down as draw and not many remember the robbery and just see the draw. This will be the same way. Plus who else is he going to fight? The ESPN staple Ruslan or try to bring Guerrero who you already dont like
In other words, we can't beat fighters unless they are tailor made for us.
Well he already beat Bradley so I don't think its about beating him. They definitely want Pacquaio to look good though and he'd get a knockout against Provodnikov.
Not a surprise you would not comprehend it..Keep raking your brain..
Yeah I'm sure i'll need to engage all my brain power to understand what having a piece of somebody's ass means.
I believe that is a technical term in boxing.
Thanks, I actually said in the other thread that he is worth up to $10m to Pac, just to get it over with.
I don't agree with anyone thinking that this rematch won't sell. Maybe a year ago it won't, but with everything since, it'll sell and it'll sell better than the first fight.
I completely agree bro..
You have got to be kidding, I've heard Khan fans act as if Prescott and Peterson don't own a part of Khans ass..That's the real joke..
What does that even mean?
Oh God.
Bradley fans

Bradley is not Mayweather and he is not Cotto either. You are reaching with these comparisons. If Bradley was such a great talker/seller, why did the first fight not surpass Josh Clottey status?
I think they also care more about Pacquiao looking good more than the fight selling. The difference between what the two fights would do on PPV would be minimal. But Pacquiao is guaranteed to look awesome against Ruslan. Whereas Bradley will stink the place out like the last two times he's been on PPV.
I'm not saying they are equal. I agree with you on tim-but be honest-did anyone think floyd would shine on 24/7 the way he did.
The point is Tim likely sells more than ruslan. Tim is trying to leverage that. I'm not saying he is right or wrong, I just think its the smart play right now. I'd prefer the ruslan fight myself because its fresh.
Excellent point the 2nd paragraph. Manny in theory would look better against ruslan-unless he boxes to a win like the rios fight. Ultimately the public could hold that performance against manny.
I agree 100% that tim isn't a draw. But manny can't avenge his robbery against anybody else. So Tim's worth isn't so simple to determine.
Dirk its more than that. Manny/ruslan manny has to do the bulk of the heavy lifting to sell the fight. Very hard given his political career and choopy english.
Manny v tim tim can do more to sell the fight with simply with his ability to go on radio and cable without the need for an interpreter.
we agree-tim is not in any way the draw. but -taking a page from floyd v ODH-the opponent can often "sell" the fight as well or better than the main draw.
Tim has far more value than ruslan-especially if the fight is in Vegas.
As for marginally- $70 x 100k-200k units is $7-14 mil more. that aint marginal.
and half of that goes to cable companies. what about hbo's share? top rank? you'll be lucky to have $3 million left for the fighters to share. use your brain no matter how small it is.

I don't believe that especially coming from Roach, more like he wants another face first no defence fighter that would guarantee or make Pac have an easier day out.
