If the current number one guy one the list chooses to fight a guy like Annie khan
and say ward chooses to fight 2 real contenders will he be able to pass him up and become the number 1 p4p champion

If Ward takes on a legit opponent, Kovalev, Stevenson, Hopkins at 175 or Froch 2 at 168, then I'd take him up to number one. But if Ward has another mediocre year fighting bums I'm tempted to drop him from his spot at 2 (on my own list) and if someone like Bradley or Martinez have a big year and Floyd doesn't fight Pac yet again, they could go number one.
Bradley goes number one if he beats Pac cleanly and defends against another legit opponent.
Martinez if he beats Cotto (which he probably will) and then fights either of Golovkin or QUillin and beats them, especially if he beats them well.

Sounds like youre more interested in complaining about Mayweather than talking about Andre Ward.
Is that why you want him to reach #1 P4P?
Wards been on the shelf too long. A decent win followed by a couple good wins could get me to forget about his recent hiatus. That's not a lock though. I don't even remember the last time Ward fought 3 times in a year so..
This is the only real fight left for Ward at 168 atm imo, assuming Stieglitz wins. He has already beaten Bika, Froch and Abraham fairly comfortably.
If Groves beats Froch in a rematch, that is another option but right now it's Stieglitz from a competitive perspective.
Stieglitz only fights in Würstlandia -- therefore you assume that Ward would travel there for a big payday. I guess that both Stieglitz and Ward would find such a fight as too risky.
Not if he puts himself out of the ring again with promotional battles. I get wanting more money, but not to the detriment of your career. Some money and legacy is better than no money and no legacy.
Ward rightfully passed Pac and Floyd for #1 p4p a while ago
unfortunately, he let it slip by sitting on the shelf for too long
he got his tuneup done, now he needs to get back to business
guys he's beaten have recovered some clout since then
for that reason, don't mind Froch or Bika rematches
whoever wins the 3rd AA-Stieglitz fights is viable too
wanted Ward to go to 175 before, but don't mind him staying put now
he just needs 2 good wins and he's got his #1 p4p ranking back

Not unless he beats Kovalev
and kovalev would knock him out cold
... This is if Kovalev would have been allowed to punch. The truth is that Ward doesn't allow a puncher to punch -- Ward would stay glued onto Kovalev chest until the Russian is gassed... In the later rounds, Ward would unleash his extremely fast in-and-out slapping proceedings and leave Kovalev defeated and confused. That is why we all love Andre.
A good point.
Ward is not that high on p4p for me, He made dawson come to his weight and not dare challenge him on Light Heavy.
Ward has no more good opposition in his wt class so I think that he should rise in wt now. A lot of tough guys are in for him but the problem is he does not dare to.
Ward is like Rigo cleaning up his division and avoids moving up. Both are boxing purist for me that cleaned up there weight but did not dare to step up and try to venture the next weight
Rigo is probably near his limit but I think he can rise one more class.
No one on the P4P list has done what Ward did in the Super Six, especially in the third or forth packed division in the sport; so that's why he's as high as he is now.
Both need to finish up and move up though.
its an appealing fight for a lot of people honestly, hbo wants this fight bad in a few years, probably be a big ppv sale for them in a few years
Just from a style stand point it'd be fun to watch, really hope nothing gets in the way of it.

Ward is trying to cherrypick. Groves nor Chavez jr or pretty much anyone at 168 could give him that kind of credibility. If he moved up and Handled Kovalev, or Adonis or both then without a doubt.
If Ward cleans his division then yes.
If he moves up to beat Stevenson & Chad Dawson in a rematch then he's there until he retires.
A good point.

Possibly but it would take a REALLY good win and unfortunately Ward doesn't have any really good opponents unless he goes to 175.
If he goes 175 we might not see golovkin if he stays theres still chavez jr thomas oosthuisen robert stieglitz george groves and badou jack,i would like to see froch vs ward rematch at the MGM i doubt it would happen but none the less theres some good opposition out there for ward, B-hop stayed at middleweight for years defending his belts why cant andre ward at SM me personally i would like to see him clear the middleweight division but i dont know if he can get down.
Ward's inactivity and competition won't allow him to overtake it, as said he needs to fight Stevenson or Kovalev. Me personally I'd rather he stay at '68 as I'd really like to see him and Golovkin fight. I know Ward likely wins but it's a very appealing fight to me.its an appealing fight for a lot of people honestly, hbo wants this fight bad in a few years, probably be a big ppv sale for them in a few years

I think he's #1p4p but, he's going to need to be more active in order to prove it on paper. With Floyd taking fights like Khan though, it makes Ward an even stronger p4p argument.
I never understood the p4p ranking's mayweather made it to the number 1 rank by defeating a 135 JMM after coming back from retirement and not being listed im guessing it was done by the top guys in order to make him fight manny who was the number 1 at that time
Yes it had nothing to do with him being #1 before he took some time off at all. He was #2 not #1 also.
