Basically it's punches you feel a fighter should throw more of because he is effective with it.
Martinez(the jab)- The guy has an amazing jab and he controlled a good jabber like Dzinziruk with it but the guy rarely commits to using it.
Miguel Cotto(the straight right)- He tends to favor more the right hook when he uses his right hand but his straight right is better. He knocked down Torres with it.
Matthyse(the jab)- He has an underrated jab that he should use more to set his power punches.

Rios's jab, the guys got quite a heavy and hard jab but doesn't seem to have the confidence or intelligence to use it often! He would have beaten Alvarado in the rematch if he kept it up
Agree 100%. He even rocked Alvarado with it in the second fight, a mystery why he didn't use it more. The same against Pacquiao, he just walked forward often without throwing it.
Wlad: Uppercut and combinations. Not just striaght right and left hook all the time.
EVERY fighter: uppercut. no one throws uppercuts anymore for some reason
Or just throw anything other than jabs more often.
ZzzZZzzzz
The first thing that comes to mind is Floyds counter uppercut, he gets serious torque into that punch! He used to use it a lot more in high early career but hasn't used it too often in his WW/JMW run.. I think he must have used it about 4 times against Cotto and shook him up every time it landed! It's a beautiful shot and very James Toney-esque..

:boxing:I think the reason Lucas doesn't use his jab as often as we'd like is because he's been effective without it, I'd like to see his trainers put more emphasis on his boxing ability and the jab
I hear you
Rigo's body shots that he has gotten away from in his last two fights!

donaire took it away by wacking him in the face everytime he attempted it.
he turned agbeko into a btch with this punch in the 1st round, and from then agbeko clottey'd up
what rigo really could do with is a right hook, not just a set up
pacquiao is the guy that needs to learn to go to the body a little more, with that straight left, he folds guys in half when he lands it, toppled margarito, toppled morales, looked bloody vicious in the first round vs rios but then was only thrown about 10 more times through out the fight, if even that
nonito donaire is another good one for this topic, he'd do well to add even one more type of punch to his arsenal besides just the left hook
