If you care about Manny then you should be disgusted in what Arum is doing to the guy. While Pacquiao is putting his life on the line, Arum is under paying him millions.
Apparently Arum still owes Floyd millions too. Do you blame Floyd to not want to do business with Arum?
The biggest fight in boxing was Floyd vs Canelo and Canelo got 12-15 mil
The second biggest fight was DLH vs Floyd and Floyd got 25 mil
So Pac would have made more money than any other B-side fighter in a major fight.
Canelo had never sold 1 ppv. Floyds had never sold 400k. Get it?
40m n no ppv income from the biggest fight in boxing at that moment? That would be a dumb deal to take.

I agree. But then I remember Manny turning down 50-50.
I think that was back during the ODST times, Manny's ego was hurt with all the accusations but to his credit, less than a year later, in fact only a few months later, he agreed to testing. The fight should have happened then but Floyd still uses that as an excuse LOL
Phoney is a congenital liar, and has been caught out is dozens and dozens of times, which everyone on this site-including you- know very well. He's a liar and nobody, particularly him, would ever make a fight deal in that way.
I take Floyd at his word over anybody from NSB. Besides when you turn down a 50/50 split from Floyd Mayweather there is no way to convince me they wanted the fight. No other fighter including Cotto/Canelo has even came close to sniffing a 50/50 split since. And you have enough balls to say with a straight face Floyd didnt want the fight? Sorry man but the facts dont support your argument.
Seriously never before in the history of this sport, have purses, PPV earnings and viewership been used to this extent to prevent a fight of this magnitude from happening.
Can you imagine Ali telling Frazier he wasn't going to fight him cos he wasn't earning as much, or Ali saying a 50/50 split with Foreman wasn't worth it. Or Leonard skipping out on fights with Duran, Hagler and Hearns cos they didn't do as many commercials as him and weren't as well known in the USA.
Can you imagine Oscar saying he wouldn't fight anyone who didn't at least do 1 million PPV buys...come on man. This **** is gettin crazy.

You guys sound as if you just don't have all your marbles. The story and scene were all described right on this site. The phone rang, Mayweather was on the line. Koncz handed the phone to MannyP. Phoney offered MannyP $40 mill with NO PPV. That was the deal. MannyP immediately offered him back $50 mill with the SAME other terms.
Mayweather hung off. How can even a congenital imbecile believe that this was a genuine offer. No negotiations, no arena, no TV advertising, nothing discussed. And NO PROMOTERS when Pacquiao has a 27% deal with Top Rank. He also has an 82% PPV deal with Top Rank. You guys have NO IDEA how much Pacquiao earns, or gets, or spends or buries under the fireplace.
The reason that MannyP's guarantees are so low is because by Commission Law, the guarantee MUST be paid over to the boxer on fight-night. DO YOU UNDERSTND THIS...?? So it leaves a lot more cash available for the promoter to use because he has to pay in advance or on the spot for a million and one things that are involved in a promotion. Also it prevents every Tom, Dick or Harry..meaning you guys, from knowing the inside of boxers' financial affairs. It's not your business anyway, and there's no reason except morbid curiosity for you to find out.
Also you all seem to be talking in telephone numbers. There's no way that any fight, unless it sells about 4 mill PPV could pay the enormous sums that you think these guys get. Of course, if you believe a many-time, proven liar like Mayweather, then you'll believe anything so I'll stop right here.
It seems the longer your post exchanges go on, the wilder the claims get.
ATG post here, Floyd has gone from saying he earned 8 mill against a nobody like Baldomir to earning tens of millions against guys like Guerrero.
He isn't even his own promoter, GBP play a huge role in that. The amount of **** :frown: :sad2:

Honestly I wouldn't have put the first line there if I knew the rest of the text would be ignored lol
Again with the 40m. Hey dumba$$, he's under contract with TR and they're due a minimum if they're cut out of the promotion. TR and Pac split over 40m for JMM 3, 4, and you think that's the right price for the biggest money fight of all time?! GTFO troll
I Agree 40m is ***** if arum tales a cut out of it, as a counter manny was a free agent sometime down the line and that was the truth, but he resigned with Arum so that 40m could have been all his.
He got a 26m one for Bradley? That's rather impressive actually all things considered. In that case he'd have lost money on the back end, it's not worth it. Though if floyd was offering 40m with ppv upside.... then yeah it's def worth it and he should've took the offer, I bet if offered at this point he'd take it but who knows.
There was no "upside" offered, and considering the PR way this call came about, it might have been a 1% upside........ or less.
That 40 mil flat fee is a bunch of bull****. The interview I was refering to came from Floyds mouth. And he said Manny handed the phone back to Konz before they could discuss the money on the back end. He just wanted to agree to the 40 mil guarunteed.

40 million minus top ranks cut=average payday for pac and that's before the ppv money he gets, and hes getting no ppv money against Floyd.........what a deal! also pac can't just leave top rank and take the 40 million its called a contract
arum doesn't owe Floyd sh-it. If Floyd had a case he would take it to court and get his money but he has nothing but lies.
DAGGUM-For the first time in a while you are serious and absolutely right. That mythical money that Arum supposedly owes Mayweather, was all published years ago. Several times, and I've written it here a few times as well.
Top Rank did indeed owe Phoney money, and was paying it either monthly or quarterly (can't recall) according TO CONTRACT. It got lost amongst the ruck. So one day, Top Rank discovered that they had in fact overpaid and Mayweather owed them money. But, although it was a substantial sum, it wasn't enough to go after considering the legal expenses and headache with Mayweather on the other end. So they wrote it off.

Per Dan Rafael, his guarantees for JMM and Bradley were 26m. That would make this like a 12% raise, for the biggest fight of all time.

Actually the raise is counting PPVs from his other fights. He gets about an 18mil guarantee or so...then you add ppv on top of that, which is also taxed and what not. It would've been his highest pay day regardless...though he stood to make more with ppv cuts.

actually its a pay cut since pac would get 0 percent of the ppv buys. according to Floyd fans who must be really bad at math this was a great deal that couldn't be passed up.

yes because when you add zero to manny's 28 million flat fee(top rank takes 12 million) you get.........................I just don't know............damn it math!

With the PPV Mannys end wouldve been more than 40mil.
