Khan would probably do better but still be outclassed and KO'd and Maidana would be made to look the fool, Alexander already beat him...bottom line cut Arum out and make the Manny fight.
If he does, it isn't saying much.
People are still on this "Khan is a real tough stylistic matchup for Mayweather" ****? LOL
It was funny 2-3 years ago and it still is.
Khan is perhaps the #1 example of how people overrate speed. Speed doesn't mean squat if you can't use it right. Khan is too devoid of technical skills, ring smarts, instincts, balance, footwork, defense, accuracy, punch resistance, etc...for Mayweather. The only chance he has is if Mayweather suffers a freak accident and breaks his leg or kneecap.
Other than that, the only question is whether Mayweather wins by stoppage, or 12-0, 11-1, or 10-2. Or maybe, just maybe, 9-3.
I'm talking about between Kahn and Maidana, at least Khans speed gives him a chance to land something Maidana is just too slow to catch Mayweather.
If he does, it isn't saying much.

Exactly, a style does not matter when its being operated by a C level fighter. Which is what the current Khan has been looking like his last 4 fights.
If he does, it isn't saying much.

I'm not sure who you're arguing with. No one is favouring Khan to beat Mayweather. The only reason we're even discussing the fight is because Floyd refuses to fight the likes of Pacquiao, Martinez, Lara etc. But carry on...
Khan is a tougher style match up for Mayweather than Maidana.
If he does, it isn't saying much.

My opinion is that Mayweather won't bring it harder than Diaz did. Let's see who's right.
What do you mean by "bring it harder"?
Opposite effect for me.
Well I think your consolation will be Maidana getting the fight, and if that happens I hope you were right all along!
khan deserves a shot at floyd as he has been talked for ages about a fight with Floyd.
Khan beat Maidana. Maidana only beat bloated Broner, who beat Paul Mallignagi, who khan happened to beat also.
So what that khan has looked vulnerable, looking like superman dont usually get you a fight with Floyd.
To be fair, fight khan and 4 months later fight maidana.
Khan looked vulnerable? Wtf he was stopped by Garcia and then knocked pillar to post by the likes of Diaz. The standards for Khan are incredible. If Maidana was STOPPED and then knocked pillar to post he wouldn't even be close to being mentioned as an opponent to Mayweather. He would be, as he says, at the bottom of the damn sea. Quit trying to justify your poster child... He has done nothing over the last almost year but sat on the sidelines and hoped his nationalistic fan base would propel him into an undeserved shot at the p4p king. Maidana has, in very impressive fashion, stopped Karass, Lopez, and handed Broner his first loss in almost as much time as khan fought.....Diaz., and looked horrible doing it. Why is this even a debate?
My faith in boxingscene is restored with this poll.

 at all the "Khan is such a tough style matchup for Floyd" junk.
Khan might win more rounds, but both of them most likely win 2 at the most.
Khan is a tougher style match up for Mayweather than Maidana.
I believe Khan has a chance to win more rounds, but I also think he has a higher chance of getting stopped
Maidana just gets outboxed for an easy UD, he's made for Floyd
and?
my opinion is that mayweather is gonna bring it to khan harder than julio freaking diaz did. and i posted photographic evidence of how far khan has fallen off ever since peterson mauled his ass to further prove my point.
what does maidana or his knockdown that happened 3 years ago have anything to do with that? seems like some butthurt automatic defense system you guys have set up.
well at least maidana is a force at 147 and has a belt to prove it. a victory over khan means what exactly?
he can move his hands fast he might win a round or two... lmfao gtfoh
My opinion is that Mayweather won't bring it harder than Diaz did. Let's see who's right.
The fact you compare Broner to Floyd or even measure a flat footed career lightweight aka the Christopher Reeves of boxing to a guy who is all about movement, tells me u are a pillock
Broner shud never be used as a measuring stone for Floyd, NEVER
Maidana struggles with boxers with movement, the proof is in the pudding, just like Khan struggles with hard hitting brawlers.
Maidana has nothing to offer Floyd, wont beat him to the jab, all he'll do is swing and miss, slow, predictable, not athletic enough to keep up with Floyd.
Floyds eye coordination is second to none, he see's just about everything, thus he is able to lean back and make them miss an then hit them with a counter, Maidana is simply toooooooooo slow
Devon and Khan showed us the blueprint on how to beat him. Floyd can mimick those two very easily he has the speed of Khan and the slickness of Devon, add to that he is a defensive genius, Maidana has no advanatge, power means nothing when u cant land a punch. Hatton was a 100 times better boxer than Maidana and look how that fight ended up
Only way to trouble Floyd imo is to beat him to the jab, and to be athletic enough to keep up with him
Pillock? Why you little... in life they call you all sorts of things..for instance in the gym they call you the "100 go"... 100 jumping jacks and you're throwing up in a trash can..in the kwoon they say you lack wisdom, benevolence, sincerity, and bravery. In the ring it is a said you are ko'd by a damn jab with headgear on.. in the dojo they say you dont follow the straight path..in the club you are rumored to be THAT guy that dances with himself...women know you as that guy they regret talking to.. employers know you as that guy they hired and fired... bankers...dont know you.
I say you have your head so far up your own ass from blind nationalism you can stick out your tongue and give yourself hiccups or spit and give yourself pneumonia.
Now, back to boxing. No one used Broner as a measuring stick to Floyd. At best Broner was a disciple of Floyd. But he had floyd's full support and advocacy. Its up to the master to avenge his students being dishonored.
You are regurgitating the same stuff everyone knows about Floyd. Floyd is no invincible beast. He is a man. He has been hit before and he will be hit again. He is a victim of his own defensive prowess at times. Against Mosley for instance, the smart thing to do would either be to counter over the top of Mosleys jab and take the steam off that right, or use his feet to create more distance. He didnt do this at first because he's so confident in his ability to defend standing still. He got caught because of it. Mayweather can be hit while moving within range too. Mayweather was moving away from Ortiz in a downward upward arc and Ortiz timed him and nailed him, and bulled him into the ropes. It was Ortiz's mentality that ended that fight so early, otherwise he would have been in tough with a strong bull. In the Castillo fight he had the ring cut off and was cornered against the ropes many a time and pounded to the body. Castillo couldnt hurt Mayweather enough, but Maidana has the power to hurt him. Maidana is not faced with an insurmountable task, there are at least two ways he can beat Floyd, use the chin and volume to smother him... or sneak in a one hitter quitter. With the left OR right hand. If people have even watched all of Floyd's fights, they know some of his biggest tests were against less refined guys with high output, granite chins and a bucketload of heart.
there are less ways for khan to beat Mayweather. His power seems to have waned, so his only hope is to gut out a decision against a master boxer. In other words, judging by his recent performances, he has slim chance to none.
I go by what I see with my trained eye. Maidana has improved hand over fist, while Khan has gotten much worse than he was in his prime. Maidana is prime or on his way to peaking right now and Khan's best days are behind him.
People that think a person cant improve are out to lunch. Bruce lee had a world of talent but needed Ip Man to mold him and form his foundation. Garcia is no ip man but he is by far the best trainer a guy like Maidana has ever had. Maidana also has two world class s&c coaches. His progress is apparent while Khans fall from grace is also apparent. Watching the Khan fight Maidana has more zip and pop now and would destroy Khan if he could get in a time machine. And that is painfully obvious at this point. Hell old school Maidana whoops him at this point too. Maidana is and was always twice or thrice what Diaz is as a fighter. Khans best win: Maidana. And barely. Thats what he can hang his hat on. Great, he cant beat Maidana NOW though. Boxing is very much so about the now.
Two more things.. Maidana is actually pretty quick when he straightens his left hand and brings it right from the waist with no arc. Thats a fast punch. Watch the second kd of broner. The first left hand. And Mayweather is in far more danger from a guy that is tough enough to be uncowed instead of a guy thats's game plan will change as soon as he's hit flush. FUCK ROUNDS

Alexander easily beat maidana ,maidana even cant touch mayweather .
How many times has Maidana been down?

wow this is a surprise, are all the khan haters sleeping??? At least there is some common sense on the forums today. Khan wins way more rounds than maidana no doubt.
Lol I was actually surprised that Khan was actually leading this poll.
