I wouldn't call dropping an established champion on his arse in the first round and pretty much winning every subsequent round, bar one or two evens, "threatened".
Been drinking? :lol1:
Groves is a big puncher, bigger than Froch, has a better jab than Froch, quicker handspeed and better defence and footwork.
He will be the hardest fight Ward has fought.
A good jab is key to beating Ward.
Ward does have the advantage on the inside with his dirty tactics but with a good ref and a couple fights down the line I think Groves and take him.
Ward beat Froch, but Groves absolutely took him to school.
Ward UD's him
people are overrating Groves now because he threatened Froch
wouldn't even pick him to beat Froch in a rematch if they do one
that was Groves' moment, and he fell apart later in a fight he was winning
Ward would neutralize his offense and grind him down
would rather see Ward-Groves than Ward-Froch 2 though
at least it's something different

Maybe you missed it yesterday, but I offered a bet if they fight.
50 Billi Ward beats Groves easily and decisively?
Yay or nay?
We shall see if the fight gets made first.
I hope this fight doesnt happen. I would rather see Kovalev or Golovkin beat the crap out of him
Why would you want to see Kovalev or GGG beat up Groves?
Groves is a good fighter, but fighting well against Froch in no way, shape or form prepares someone for Ward. If Groves starts the fight quickly, he might win the first round, but after that it's going to be a shutout in favor of Ward.
Those picking ward by stoppage DONT KNOW **** ABOUT BOXING
Gonna be a chess match, i give the edge to ward obviously.
Alot more in control of the tempo of the fight.
Looking at it objectively, i'd have to say Groves sparks him.

Give it a rest.
I like Groves alot but we're talking about a future HOF if not ATG in Ward.
He'll neutralise Groves attack and take him to school. Look at his resume and the level of fighters he's faced... he's made them all look like carpet fitters.
I think Ward recognises that George will be a force in the future so the best time to get him is now whilst he is still not the finished article coming off a ko loss
In super 6 he didn't have to face a combination of speed and power so it could potentially be a hard fight for Ward but George admits he isn't ready for him yet. Carl was a different matter because stylewise he saw things he could exploit. Vs Ward he'd have to fight him like he boxed degale
If Groves connects, he will hurt Ward like he did Froch
This kid is dangerous
Kid was landing double rights on Froch lol, and he told Froch he'd do that and Froch didnt think it was possible.
I think Groves actually beats Ward..via KO
Baiting.:lol1:
Ward actually has a defense doe. Ward stops Groves
Defense indeed, but he can be hit and Groves has speed and power, especially for the first 6 rounds
Ward will have some issues dealing with Groves movement
If Groves connects, he will hurt Ward like he did Froch
This kid is dangerous

If Groves had actually beaten Froch I could see the point in this fight.
That said, Groves is still amongst the better SMWs and one that at least Ward hasn't beaten already.
