If Amir Khan lands flush, could he hurt Mayweather?

Obviously if anything lands flush from anyone, it could end it. But why do people insist on Khan being like a second coming of Sonny Liston or something? All that power couldn't stop Julio Diaz? Fight Juan Diaz instead Floyd.

Khan hurts anyone if he catches them flush. He's come the closest to KOing Maidana and stopped Malignaggi and Judah. Not everyone does that. That said, he ain't catching Mayweather. Sure, anything is possible but I don't think he is going to be catching Floyd cleanly too many times.

floyd and khan are not too far off in terms of power. When they both land flush and unexpectedly it could hurt. They both don't have that granite chin as well.

Pretty sure Khan landed flush on Peterson, Garcia, Maidana, Diaz, Molina, Kotelnik, Malignaggi, and Barrera and never knocked them down or hurt them with head shots. Wasn't Peterson's eye closed after the fight - and he was dropped once or twice in case you forgot - from headshots. Garcia's face was cut to bits. Molina's eye closed. Dropped Maidana hard, stopped Zab and Malignaggi. I think TS' question was: can he hurt Mayweather if he lands flush. Not: Can he drop Mayweather. Khan has a pretty snappy punch and is a great body puncher. Whether he'll catch him or not, i'm not so sure.

The problem for Khan isn't that he can't catch Mayweather it's that he will get hit with a left hook from Floyd before he has a chance to. Khan can't take a left hook from anyone and Mayweather throws one of the best hooks in the business.

Khan doesn't have great power, but it's the punches you can't see comjng that can do damage. He has quick enough hands to catch Mayweather

Khan's power is so overrated. He doesn't have the same snap as a Pacquiao. His timing on his punches are more like a simple rhythm. Point A to point B. His single punches won't affect Floyd, at all. Trust me. It's his 2-3-4 that will have to rock Floyd, and Khan's dumb ass won't be able to land those, because he leaps in with his chin in the air, and has no rhythm. He's so damn predictable. In summary, Khan's not an effective single punch, boxer. Manny is. He can land that left in like it's nothing. Then once that left lands, you're stunned, and he can land the right, left, right, right, left, left. Khan is like a retarded, 1-2 1-2 1-2 1-2 puncher.
