You always show your ignorance of what goes into making a boxing match. LOOK UP boxing promoters on the internet. Even there it will tell you that the MORE a promoter pays the fighter, the LESS he has for himself.....and if the promotion is not a financial success, the loss comes out of HIS pocket, as well as all the money which must be paid IN ADVANCE to most of those involved in the fight. In a BIG fight it could run into over 1000 people. I read of one instance years ago where it took 2,800 people fot that one night.
It would do you good anyway, because you might absorb (small chance) the enormous amount of work a promoter does for his money......
Sorry folks, I wrote the above post BEFORE I read the link. This is the same crap that has been talked about on this site for the past six months. It is not a report that the fight WILL BE taking place, just the usual speculation, or even on a 50-50 basis. I don't believe that MannyP would agree that that split anyway; he'd be crazy of he did, HE is the A side, not Marquez.
This doesn't mean that PAIN (in the neck) doesn't write very ignorant stuff, because he does...always.
Arum get's the same whatever the split because he will be promoting both fighters if it happens.

And that article is quoting Chris Williams of all people as their source? Give me a break, I wouldn't use that guy as a source for directions to an outhouse. The guy dreams up negative Pacquiao articles to write about.
I know it is business and principle alone does not always win, still I think JMM should get more, even if it is 51 to 49 percent. Now that would be what is the right thing to do but business and principle are not always synonymous, even though they should be, but that's an idealism. But JMM can easily tell Arum to shove it. It may not work, but JMM is carrying a lot of power in the negotiations for a rematch since he has turned everything down thus far and appears to be unworkable no matter how much money is at stake which could be sincere, JMM is holding out for more.

Hmmmm
This article says nothing. It should have never been posted here.
Didn't we just hear that JMM won't be taking a fifth fight? Why now are we hearing the opposite?
I also don't understand why Pacquiao is so keen on getting a rematch. Sure, he could redeem himself, but he also could get KTFO again. Though I expect him to fight extremely cautiously.
Bradley makes more sense. Correct the first decision with a win, and be able to say you beat the guy who just beat Marquez - all without risking KO'd. Let Marquez fight Ruslan or some ****.
I don't know why these fighters' managers suck so much.
That is the smartest thing to do.Fight bradley and let marquez fight prov.Beat the guy who beat you.Marquez just has pacquiaos number

I don't know why these fighters' managers suck so much.its the equivalent of ali facing frazier first before facing foreman, yea foreman would be easier but you want to face your past defeat as soon as possible. Elite boxers are crazy like that.

That's exactly what I'm thinking. Manny's got too much heart for his own good.

both are good fights! to me definitely, JMM is the more dangerous opponent even after his last fight
Agree. JMM just has the style to tame Pacquiao, because he has the combination, counter punching.
Pacquiao will always revert back to what he always does when faced with a fighter that doesn't stand there and take punches. Once you get Pacquiao to think, you have him right where you want him. He wants to jump in and out and just throw punches without considering any form of strategy. He will not look like he did against Rios against either JMM/Bradley. He's not a smart fighter.um didnt he outbox bradley? did you really think he lost to bradley?
What I was saying was the pacquiao wont be throwing 1 2, 1 2, 1 2, like he did in the 3rd fight, and wont reckless like he did in the 4th fight. He fought the 4th fight very well, but one thing he improved on in the rios fight is not getting too excited when he thinks a fighter is hurt. PAcquiao learns from experience, and marquez would be in very dangerous territories if he fought him again. And its what alot of people think if they rematched

This is the intriguing fight......Bradley vs Pac. This is the air that Manny needs to clear!

Pac-Marquez V? Bring it :D
Two masters of the sport, who know eachother inside out. Never had a boring fight.
Lets face it, the biggest fights for Pac are the Marquez and Bradley rematches. The Bradley rematch is only there to correct a win on paper. The Marquez rematch affects his fighting pride, his legacy and his standing within the division. It's pretty clear to see which has more relevance
Marquez gave Bradley a damn good fight, despite going up a style that he struggles with. I think he still has something in the tank
Hahahha. Jmm is not scared of VADA but Pacman used to be because he was scared of needles or USADA whatever. No one develops 1 punch KO power from 118 pounds to 140 or 147 if your not on the power pellets. Come on guys lets be real, the mighty ******* I think he was on PED when he was knocking MF the f out. There is no other way. IMO ofcourse. he just never got caught and ariza was running a good game.
pacquiao has never had ONE punch knockout power, most of his knockouts come after sustained punishment and several hundred punches..... lol.
Bradley outboxed JMM in their fight and won a controversial decision over Manny in his fight but yet JMM may be fighting Manny? I don't want to see another Manny/JMM fight because JMM has won, IMO, every single one of their fights.
Who cares what you want? Most had them 50/50. The important thing is this fight will sell tons more, will be tons more exciting, is a lot more meaningful to Pac, and much tougher.
Marquez should get more than 50/50, he knocked the guy out plus Pacquiao's money is going straight in Arum's pocket. Arum can't do that to Marquez because not only is he mentally intelligent but a very good accountant which was his second job.
Not to mention his big ass debt to the IRS...Pac should learn from his father Juan Manuel.
