Real $h!t, I genuinely want to know who else has a chance or clearly beats Rigo considering that they were the same size. The meaning of the term pfp. I genuinely want to know.
How does Bradley do it,
Pacman
Marquez
Wlad
and anyone else anyone has ranked higher.
So true.
Rigondeaux beats a prime Pacquaio and the guy hasn't even fought a world class agressive fighter :lol1:
He looked awesome against Donaire who's a top top top fighter but that's just one style. Donaire's a counter puncher himself and as good as he is has plenty of holes.
Seems after that fight Rigondeaux went from perhaps the most underrated to the most overrated in the space of a day.
He's superskilled but there are hints that he could have his hands full with someone who'll make you have to stop him.
Boxers have negated Pacquiao's aggression before, matter fact the more patient counter punchers he fights...the less aggressive he is.
I'm not saying Rigo would destroy Pacquiao but i don't think his aggression would be a issue to Rigo.
Very true statement. Rigo is so clinical, even more so than Marquez who while a great counter puncher gets hit far more than Rigo.

Carpe Diem in this thread and plenty more across the board.
Ohh, well in that case continue on. I think prime for prime it'd be a close one. But right now I'd take Rigo no question.

But who spoke of a prime Pacman though??
I think Chavez has potential and looked decent against Thurman.
That's the credit I've given him in the past.
But at the same time, he's literally completely unproven and has never beaten a ranked fighter or hurt a fighter with a good chin.
Therefore, I can't say he's a "Beast" or a "Monstrous puncher" or a "Top level fighter" and "Better than proven fighters" because he simply has not shown me that or anyone that, at this stage.
Whether he goes on to show it is unknown, hence why I'm not ruling him out. Just ruling out the idea he's proven these things when he simply hasn't. Like I said, he has literally not beaten a single fighter of note or of any rank.
I can dig it.
Appears like an interesting guesstimate that Rigo is unbeatable, despite not having been in with a wide variety of skillsets.
There's parts of his game that are lacking I wouldn't be surprised to see him struggle with a good chinned volume/pressure fighter.

I noticed you have not given Chavez any credit in this tread. But you have before. Why is that?

It's hard to say considering I don't really know how Rigondeaux would deal with a style like Pacquaio or someone with the ability of him and what he brings.
I know that Pacquaio would definitely have issues at times with the style, timing, defense of Rigondeaux.
That said, I really don't know how Rigondeaux handles world class aggression, with speed, angles etc
So to answer your question; I simply don't know.
What I do know is I think it's way too early to say he'd beat someone on the level of Pacquaio considering he's really not shown it in the ring yet.
I noticed you have not given Chavez any credit in this tread. But you have before. Why is that?
Okay, fair enough. Stylistically, How do you think Manny would beat him?

Rigondeaux has yet to even show me how he deals with a world class aggressive fighter.
Let alone one as awkward and fast as Pacquaio in both hand and feet.
I've no doubt Rigondeaux has tools that would trouble Pacquaio but I feel it's way too premature to say he'd beat someone on Pacquaios level.

Prime or past Pacquiao. I'd take Rigo to beat him if they were the same size. Manny needs punching angles to set up his combos, and Rigo wouldn't give him anything. Rigo is arguably the best at dictating the pace and flow of a fight. Past or prime Manny makes far too many technical mistakes to beat Rigo. Rigo is not feather-fisted, and i don't think Manny would take the risk to overwhelm him without paying the price.
Donaire got some solid shots in, Marroquin shook him twice. Prime Pac is a whole different animal, Donaire has nothing on him, nevermind Marroquin

Agreed.
I'm definitely not too quick to say Rigondeaux would beat Pacquaio.
Sure, he has tools that would post issues but I've not seen nearly enough to say he dominates or beats him.
Prime Pacquaio I'm talking about.

Do you have to dominate an undefeated p4per for it not to be dismal? And as you saw, a huge majority though he dominated, without breaking much of a sweat.
Nice noncommital answers.
Fine, this Pac might not be beat Rigo p4p, who the fcuk knows. He carries a big resume/level of comp advantage. He looked great vs JMM, and it took JMM a lot of fortitude to put himself in the position to stop him. He didn't look that great vs Rios, but understandable he'd be extra cautious coming back off that
And that's all I'm saying......
Because Pacman did not dominate Bradley. He looked bad in that fight. To make matters worse Bradley was injured the majority of the affair.
I have Bradley top 10 currently. Haven't put down an exact spot.
If Kiko beat Rigo I'd look further into into it.
That still has nothing to do with having Pacman ranked higher than Rigo right now, or who'd win if they were the same size and fought.

But what would prime Pacman have to do with today's??
Nothing :lol1:
I wouldn't pick Pacquaio over him now solely because I don't know where he's at but if he were to say fight Bradley and beat him then I'd pick Pacquaio.
