GGG vs. Kirkland

of course at 160 (like the 7 8 blown up jr. middleweights that i just named) no one wants to see this guy add another blown up jr. middleweight to his schedule. Well, actually you named 5 (outta his last 10 fights) - and of those Ishida was already a MW - (unless Stevens was a super-middle) and Rosado actually fights as big as Golovkin (he's just a real big JMW who will probably have to make a permanent move before long) Tapia fought his 2 fights prior to GGG at 160 and Kirkland (should the fight be made) has bounced from JMW to SMW over the last decade. Oh, and he only fought Nunez once. Whilst I do take your point, there is a lot of movement between JMW and 160 - the 6lbs difference is relatively even smaller than the 7lbs between WW and JWW which people don't even seem to blink at. Personally I would prefer he looked to the SMWs but as the plan is to move up only when he's done all he can at MW, and I can't see many career SMWs wanting to come down...I can kinda understand why it ain't happened.

3G hasn't even moved to 168 yet and dudes are naming off LHWs. Kirkland moving to 160 isn't the same as 3G moving to 175. Kirk rehydrated past 170 against Molina, he would be fine at MW. My problem with this match-up is that it shouldn't be the main event because it might not last long.

I don't give up on a guy after one loss. He's shown he could come back since then. If he wants the fight, and GGG wants the fight. I'll watch it. They shouldn't.... But still....this isn't a good matchup for Kirkland. He's easy to hit and gold kin will kill him.

I'm kinda not interested in this. The move up might do Kirk some good, but the fight might not even last two rounds.

This is the best fight out there for GGG. I think Kirkland has a good chance at the upset as well. Kirkland is like a more powerful version of ouma and we know how well ouma did against GGG. GGG can't fight backing up and kirkland is strong as hell. Robert garcia who sparred with both GGG and kirkland says kirkland was stronger and said it would be a toss up if they both fight.

It's a good fight, and a good name on GGG resume. Kirkland is a come forward fighter, and that suits GGG perfectly.

Then you need your eyes checked. Ishida is 6'2, fought at Middleweight 11 times, three of which consecutively prior to GGG. That's called a MW. ame a middleweight Golovkin should have fought? Geale? Was stripped for not fighting GGG. Sturm? Ducked his mandatory for two years. Quillin? Showtime. Murray? Turned him down. Martinez? Turned him down. Ndam? Didn't even show to a purse bid three different times. Barker? Turned him down. GGG can only take what he can get. Unfortunately you can't force the other MWs to fight him cuz this is boxing the only sport where ducking opponents is rewarded. i don't care about that...........take on fighters around your weight class or a little higher. I see where you are going, just trying to get the facts straight. 5 is still a lot.i actually wasn't counting. i was just naming people that i knew he had fought who come up to meet him.......but to be specific ishida, Ouma. Nunez, Rosado, Tapia (with kirland that would make 6) 6 7 jr. middleweights is ridiculous :lol1: and yes he fought Nilson Julio Tapia who came up in weight from 154 to meet him.........
