Seeing this interview makes me think that Floyd wouldn't straight up retire if he loses. I always thought if he ever lost he would make x9999 excuses and cry like a baby. but now he's more mature and i think if he ever lost, he definitely wouldn't do what broner did
"It's not a crime for Tom Brady of Peyton Manning to want to be like Joe Montana or Dan Marino. They don't get flack for that. They get praise for that."
Floyd playing the race card again. /yawnBrady or Manning want to emulate Montana or Marino as ATHLETES not their entire LIFESTYLES. Floyd is a fucking idiot sometimes.
That was a good interview but what the hell has Broner done for Floyd to be publicly dismissing his own relatives for him? Really, you need to bring up your father's career and your uncle's health to protect your personal mini-me?
Also, it's a bit hypocritical for him to be talking about "being positive" when he can't help but throw dirt on Pacquiao's name any chance he gets. Even when he's not relevant to the topic, Floyd still finds a way to somehow drag Manny into it, like in this interview where he had to bring up Pacquiao's IRS problems. Well dude, take your own advice about people minding their own business. I'm a die hard Floyd fan (the boxer, not the man) and despise Manny Pacquiao (the hyped up fighter, not the man) but Floyd is a complete narcissist and he's full of shit.
He said his father was never a world champ but his father fought sugar ray leonard! The quality of competition is stagerringly different. He says roger and sr have more losses but they were in the game longer than broner. See how many losses Broner has at the end of his career.. then talk.
Floyd speaking from the perspective of a mentor.
Roger was speaking his opinion on Broner's boxing skills
Sr was talking about what he saw as a trainer
All 3 of them are right
I agree with this..
The part about belittling his father's and uncle's fighting careers was uncalled for. Broner is nothing more than a fake friend just like 50 cent was, sooner or later, he'll stab Floyd in the back. At the end of the day, Roger and Sr will always be his family.
Yeah... I agree. Floyd should always favor family over his fair weather friends.. but he doesnt.
Wow Floyd put Broner before his dad and uncle... wtf is going on here.. Floyd must have some money stake on Broners career.

Pretty good interview, the part where he's breaking down his uncles and pops career though is a no no, and saying Roger should be focusing on his health. Didnt like that part. Him pointing out they have losses would have been enough.
I was just about to make a post about that. He'll look dumb as hell when Broner starts having beef with him, and you can bet your ass it will happen sooner or later.

He put Haymon before them......
Roger actually spilled the beans in that interview that they were trying to set up Broner for Floyd

He said it don't make no sense watching him, he aint fighting my nephew he done got his ass whipped now.....
They were trying to set up a Mayweather match but Broner got embarrassed, but there is still money to made with Broner vs Floyd in the future, and this spat between the Mayweathers could be part of the promotion later for if they do clash.

Great read.
Floyd has learned a valuable lesson from the Broner situation as well. He has to be a better role model for the youth out there or else you have idiots who can't separate fiction from reality and with social media the way it is today there are few second chances. Not saying Floyd is responsible for Broner's behavior but Its good to see him being a mentor in his time of need, that apology Broner issued was a Mayweather ordered move now let's see if Broner moves down in in weight and fights on the May 3rd undercard. I always both love and hate for Floyd but ("like i said before") you gotta respect him, he knows business.

I agree with Mayweather just because their family doesn't mean you can't pick them up on their **** talking !! People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones !
Also agree with him on the African American point ! Am white British but he's right hes an American never been to African and bleeds the red white and blue which is right !!
And before you go on about slavery... Africans aren't the only race to be enslaved, asians, whites, blacks every race has been enslaved at one point in time in history.
The Malignaggi fight was chosen by his management team. The Maidana fight was chosen by Adrien himself. He should have his management team continue to pick his fights for him; that's why he's got his management team.
:nonono:...............
and i like that floyd thinks broner should be at 140, i agree with it even though the competition is even better there
