How valid is the GBP/TR excuse?

If the majority of boxing fans still want this fight then they're stupid. The fight is 4 years too late. 4 years and a brutal ko too late. 4 years and a brutal ko. it's not IF ..it is..and you must be so special then since youre smarter than majority, good for you...

Floyd is his own boss (something he loves to brag about) and this means he can essentially fight anyone he wants. It's clear that ONLY people involved on who he fights next are his advisor Al Haymon, Ellerbe, and himself. GBP is not even involved in the decision making process and Mayweather is not tied to GBP in any way. Manny is also not restricted to HBO (as Espinoza pointed out). This fight seems plausible to make, so I'm wondering if the GBP/TR "beef" is really a valid excuse because GBP doesn't even seem to need to be involved. Before I get any red Ks thrown my way, I'm just curious. Floyd fights cost tens of millions of dollars to produce. Showtime has to sell 500K PPVs just to raise Floyd's guarantee of $40 million. It's obvious that SHO is either losing money or just breaking even. Time is money. They're just wasting money on Floyd no matter who they match him with. The claim that she is a PPV queen is a myth. No, I'm not comparing the fighters Floyd/Pacman to Broner/Maidana. I'm comparing what was said by everyone about the matchup just like what you're saying. There's a difference. You do not know the outcome. People said Broner has too much skill for Maidana, but Broner got his ass handed to him. It's really ignorant to say the Floyd/Pacman shouldn't happen because "you know the outcome" I said Floyd/Pacman shouldn't happen because it's 4 years too late. The other part was to support that.

GBP is really a front for Al Haymon, since he doesn't want to violate the Ali Act. Look at the GBP roster, and you'll see 70% of the fighters are Al Haymon fighters. With that said, of course they're scared to fight TR fighters. I gave up on the Pacquiao-Mayweather years ago and I agree Mayweather should be favored to win off recent fights they both have had. I don't agree that Pacquiao can't beat Mayweather. Pacquiao is still damn good and he has a chance to beat any welterweight in the world including Mayweather. That's why so many fans still want Mayweather to fight Pacquiao. They think Pacquiao can beat him. Mayweather doesn't get to claim a win over Pacquiao until he beats him in the ring. Never said Floyd gets to claim a win. I'm more interested in dangerous fights. Like Lara or Thurman. I don't want to see any recycled crap, or a too late grudge match. But yes, any pro fighter has a chance. Even the biggest no-hoper in Khan may land a lucky punch. I want the fight where I feel that Floyd will be tested. Floyd/Pacman is 4 years too late. Nothing will change that.

And yes i know that espinoza was Oscar's and GBP's lead counsel, and then he becomes the head of showtime, and instantly GBP takes over the network.. Please let me know what you find my man,, because your right, it goes much deeper than the normal ducking Espinoza was there before GBP was created. So was Schaefer. And Haymon has been all over boxing since the 80's. These guys aren't new. I'd be shocked if this fight happens before Manny's contract with Arum runs out and even more shocked if he doesn't take a loss before that happens.

And I suspect the reason is because it was Al who assisted Floyd in using his out clause and leaving Bob. It's all jacked up. How many people here know that Stephen Espinoza (head of Showtime Sports) was also Oscar De La Hoya's lawyer when he took Arum to court to get out of his contract? Anyone? Bueller?
