I say pacquiao because he didn't go in there wreckless brawling he out boxed him and would have attempted that same game plan knowing oscar was a founding father of weight draining so he could have size/power advantages... But i never liked oscar so maybie im just being biased i feel mayweather copied his moves to a tee cherry picking over the hill champions ... and oscar lost to all the prime champs he stepped up to....

PAC starches the fool, oscar sizes will be a major factor. He would have some luck pushing manny to the ropes and unloading. But manny's punching power and speed would be too much for oscar.

To be 100% honest DLH would have KO'D Manny. Manny is def there to be hit and DLH was a monster back then and he a great chin.

DLH bigger,stronger,and healthier...that drained version of dlh vs pacman was a "giving up arse to get arse" in terms of business. dlh failed since he lost the to top rank in the contract lawsuit and pacman.in spanish terms a "toma!"

I think Pacquiao wins. It would be a closer fight but Oscar can't handle Pacquiao's lightning speed of hands and feet and his rapid fire in and out combinations from all angles.

DLH dominates early then gives away the last 4 rounds and loses a closes split decision.

Pac was 3-1 in this fight and most thought a step too far. It was a great performance and a younger DLH is probably a 50-50 fight.

De la hoya does not have a right hand. Pac too fast for him still.

I'd say they're both overrated fighters. However, I'd have to give the edge to a prime De La Hoya. That zombie that fight Manny wasn't half of the prime Oscar.

2009 Pac was a monster. They even called on him to get the Klitschko's out of the picture.

DLH is overrated IMO... Pacquiao would be too much for him in ANY part of his career.

I honestly think that Pac would always give Oscar a lot of problems. It's really hard to beat Pacman when your best weapon is your left hook. Even an all time great left hook. His southpaw stance and his straight left really take it out of the equation. You have to have an effective right hand in order to slow him down and take away his left. I would favor Oscar, only slightly because of his length and combination punching. He'd be a lot more capable of fighting off the back foot than the carcass that was fighting Pac in 2009.

Granted it was a mutually agreed upon weight but de la hoya wasn't comfortable at it like pac was. It was the only way they could get they fight made but I'm sure if he had the choice he would have preferred it at a higher weight. Freddy himself said it would be a problem for de la hoya. True, but I just think Pac gets a bad rep from this even though it was DLH in the driving seat in terms of negotiations.
