“Everybody keeps talking about the title and that he’s the mandatory,” Mayweather said. “He can have the belt. A belt doesn’t make me.”
We'll said, Floyd Mayweather exposing himself again as he's afraid of fighting Pacman.

Regardless of what the mans superstitions were, don't you find it odd that an almost signed and sealed fight never became, due to testing requests?
What most people find odd is that Floyd said, "hes an ordinary and one dimensional midget. Easy work, easy money, probably easier than Marquez", and then demands a test that had never been done before, after fighting over 35 professional fights in over 10 years.
Thats odd. Even more odd that Floyd would give up that much money over someone he claims is so easy.
I don't want to dwell on the past, but as of the current situation, the ball of blame is on floyd's side. Pacquiao has indicated that he is willing to do all the things possible to fight this man, and then, we get arum changing his tune, sort of mellowing down his pride and i really feel he's opening himself up for any possible negotiation. What's the response of floyd? NO WAY, what's the response of schaefer? NO WAY. So you see, the ball is on floyd's now. As of the moment, they are the reason why not even a single formal negotiation is happening, they don't want the fight to happen, they are shutting the door down and letting their pride get in the way. Whether the ball changes hands later on, we'll see but it got to keep on moving for this fight to materialize.
Arum would have been happy to make the fight. But recall this...... At the time it was MannyP who was the #1 lb4lb and being hailed all around the globe as a superman, and was being deluged with sponsorships to the degree that his business managing team had to pick and choose so as to get, not only the best, financially, but the best, which reflected on his global reputation. They had to be top quality companies.
As for the testing, nobody recalls that the fight was 90% done, all the major points agreed on, when the Mayweathers suddenly planked down their own specific drug test. And it was Pacquaio who was the A side........not Mayweather.
Anyway, there was a lot of haggling, and MannyP got a bad sense from it all. People should look up the discussions and reports of those who know him well, and know exactly what superstitions he has or had. It was those which governed his attitude to testing. He even negated having an eye test because it was "invasive"..... That's just a small example of his superstitions and phobias. He never travels in his Team Bus but has to be in the car in front of the bus. He always has to have the same suite in the hotel for his fights...... I'm sure this can be found on the internet somewhere....
So you see what I mean.... I hope.
i didnt know about the suite and eye test etc,,,the blood suspicion i knew obviosly
i put alot of the blame on bob arum for not making this fight,,,but richard schaffer comments have been making me think twice and floydcomments as well,,,,if floyd decides to fight khan thats fine,,,,but if mayweather is now giving up belts to avoid a fighter, NO EXCUSES IS ENOUGH to justify that,,,NONE,,,If Mayweather does that hes going to prove to the world hes running from pac..

Ironically, I tend to write long posts but never read when others do. However, this one I did read, and this one I did enjoy. Good points, my man...good points.
Thank you; a rare compliment these days.
Still waiting for that outdoor stadium.
That shows what a "quarter-wit" you are, since all Arum was doing was passing on what he'd been told by MGM whose stadium it was to have been. It was to be a 40,000 seat pre-fab temporary one on a big property owned by MGM, and they showed Arum the plans which he went for in a big way, because there would be lots of cheap seats.. So he told us about it as a piece of news. But the big fight had to be well in place. There was no fight -so no need for the stadium. I'm not sure you'll understand this...... but TRY.
As I'm writing this now, MGM is building a big stadium in Las Vegas in association with AEG. But it's a permanent one. I suppose that you will allow them to change their plans from building a temporary to a permanent stadium. It's been talked about publicly for well over a year and in fact there was big news about it a little while ago.
If you are one of those who can take off his shirt without unbuttoning the collar, well, don't try to look it up......
I don't call this being a coward. Why should you expect that a guy should get himself beaten up badly (as you say) just so that you can have had the satisfaction of seeing it. I have been watching and reading boxing news arguably longer than anyone on this site. But lets just go back to the period when Mayweather was a 130 lb champion. It was a well-known fact, and often mentioned by analysts, promoters and writers, that Mayweather had what they called in print and on the air, his "Brains Trust". They would be discussing Mayweather's safety-first system of only having opponents where they'd spotted weaknesses that he was capable of exploiting. He slipped up badly with Jose Luis Castillo who really beat him well, up and down the ring. They had been fooled by the fact that he was supposed to have been very shop=worn, from being Julio Cesar Chavez' chief sparring partner for 7 years already. (He had only scraped a draw with Stevie Johnson when he was nearly twice his size and maybe 20 lbs heavier). The judges' decisions were a fraud on Castillo and on the betting public. Just consider how much money would have been lost by the bookies if Castillo had got the decision..........
And on the "Brains Trust' point. Oscar used to be referred to as having one of them. They nearly slipped up badly with Ike Quartey. They DID slip up with Trinidad because they knew he'd had bad trouble making the weight for at least 2-3 years, and already had 15 Welterweight title defences the last 3-4 whilst already fighting as a light- middleweight too. So it was a well known fact, and he easily could have missed making the weight. At the weigh-ins, Trinidad would look like a skeleton with his ribs and bones sticking out.
Anyway, I don't blame Mayweather for not wanting to be beaten-up, I just don't like him, his manner, nor his life-style, but I couldn't care less. As far as his boxing goes, when he doesn't take a Hopkins approach (fouling on the ref's blind side) I appreciate his skill, but if I were fighting him and got an elbow in my throat, I'd do the very same and get my corner to complain to the ref. He's talked himself into being regarded as "The Greatest" just like Muhammed Ali did (it began as a PR stunt)....and neither of them has been -in my opinion at least.

Manny would beat the dog $h!t out of Floyd… god why does floyd have to be a coward?

Floyd just don't want to lose the zero. Only he himself is not confident in his skills, or someone is talking in his ear saying Pac would take that zero away.
Fans of Floyd will always defend him, some even defending his managers choice in having him face Kahn. Sane people can not rationalize that fight.
yea well he keeps saying pac is one and three his last three fights,,so i guess hes gonna step up and fight amir khan whos 2 and 2 his last four fights,,,with his last fight he looked ugly,,,,lol oh and be making only 1/4 the money....unbelievable
I will give FMJ this. He conducts his business wisely. He's best business decision has been to avoid pac. Why risk it when he has a bunch of brainless followers who support this crap.
Why would Arum or anyone else deal with a guy who they know has no real intentions. He really does have a lot of people fooled. Except those that are smart enough to see past his BS.
Oh wait, you got Khan coming. Lol. I'd be embarrassed to be a floyd fan if this fight plays out.
Just don't call yourself a champ, floyd.
Just seeing how the pac mayweather "super fight" has been going for all these years it would be a miracle to see the fight actually happen, either way I'm pretty sure mayweather would take the fight as well

No pacmanic wants to touch this side of it.
Pac could fire his whole team, renounce his citizenship, and denounce his mother. Floyd still wouldn't fight him unless he was sure he posed far less risk than he does.
Piss poor excuse. People are making up arguments for him in an apologist sort of way. I like both guys, I think Floyd would win, and I think it's an embarrassing duck.
That's what I'm saying. U have to favor Floyd but come on Floyd I still want to see the fight.
Let me know when Manny gets rid of that roadblock called Arum.
You will promise you will commit suicide if Floyd still refuse to fight Pac after he left Arum?
