Khan is often criticized by less-knowledgeable boxing fans (and simply Khan haters) for having a "glass chin" but we saw that Maidana was unable to put Khan down even once in their fight. This is the same Maidana who floored, multiple times Adrien Broner, Victor Ortiz, Josesito Lopez, Soto Karass etc..
Khan never hit the canvas against Maidana even after taking similar shots to other fighters who have been floored by him. The reason is glaringly obvious but some just don't wish to admit it.. In the Maidana fight, Khan simply wasn't weight-drained like he was against Prescott and Garcia. There are also other circumstances surrounding those two fights which contribute to the losses. A new trainer who told Khan to rush Prescott and try to KO him in round one - that was of course the worst possible game plan going into the fight against a proven power puncher - especially when you yourself are weight-drained. In the Garcia fight, Roach wasn't even present for most of the camp because he was training Pacquiao in the Philippines - Khan trained himself for most of that fight camp. Still, the weight-draining can't be overlooked no matter how critical these other factors are.
The effects of weight-draining happened to Manny in his early career, he was knocked out twice due to being weight-drained. De La Hoya was a shell of himself against Manny due to weight-draining. Feather-fisted Ward knocked out a weight-drained Chad Dawson. Weight-draining does that to a fighter, it's been proven time and again.
But Khan's battle with Maidana shows that he in fact has better punch resistance and chin than average, when he's not weight-drained because he was able to withstand the firepower which fighters such as Broner, Ortiz and Lopez just couldn't deal with. He was able to do that because he wasn't weight-drained so his true punch resistance was allowed to reveal itself. Could it be argued that a Khan who isn't weight-drained actually has an Iron Chin?

Definitely agree.
Khan beats the likes of Prescott, Peterson, D.Garcia and Maidana any day ! this is what I always believe ! every single loss in his record was due to the lack of professionalism except for Peterson's which was a robbery by the referee !
The overrated Broner made Maidana looks like a monster ! this is the normal Maidana of Ortiz, Khan, .... nothing changed or improved ! he was always a very good boxer with a power ! he is a level above D.Garcia and Matthysse, but he is a level below khan, Bradley. Pacquiao or Mayweather
He has a weak chin with the durability of wet toilet paper covered in poo, deal with it.:lol1:
let em fight now and watch what happens
Maidana would destroy him. :lol1:
Still, doubt Mayweather stops him.
I agree, Khans undeniable heart sometimes makes up for his brutal chin! It's still a mismatch but he won't stop him, he'll Diego Corrales him, dropping him repeatedly.. Virgil will either take him out or Floyd will cruise to decision!
I seem to remember Khan running for dear life against Maidana for nearly a whole round while he was hurt. I wouldn't use that fight as an example. Khan has a glass jaw. There is no debate. If not for that he'd be a great fighter.
Being hurt by Maidana, how many of Maidanas opponents have been hurt by him? Once he connects ur more than likely gonna be hurt regardless if u have a strong jaw or weak jaw.
Khan didn't go down, yet he has a glass jaw
so all the ones Maidana knocked down/out or hurt have glass jaws as well
great logic dummy
He doesn't have a iron jaw, but it aint glass neither and Floyd aint gonna KO him
Lol.. Ok, so let's apply your logic to Maidana:
Dropped by Omar Leon (a guy with 10% KO Ratio)
Hurt by Devon Alexander
Hurt by an old Erik Morales
Dropped by Victor Ortiz
Dropped again by Victor Ortiz
Dropped for a third time by Victor Ortiz
Dropped by Amir Khan
So going by your logic, because Maidana has been dropped multiple times in the past, including by a fighter with a 10% KO Ratio, that means, according to you, that Maidana has "no chin what so ever".
Everybody knows has below average resistance, but that's mostly because he has a soft body! I've only seen him dropped when hit in the chin by big hitters like Ortiz! But he's never been wobbled badly like Khan! Amir's got great heart everybody knows that but it's an undeniable fact that he's got a weak beard!
Out of it and saved by the ref against Maidana
Hurt multiple times and running for his life against Peterson
Heavily dropped by Julio Diaz
KTFO by Garcia
Knocked out in 1 by Prescott
Dropped by the feather-fisted Willie Limmond, saved by the corrupt ref.
Dropped by Drizdane, a guy with about a 3% K.O ratio
Dropped by career super featherweight Michael Gomez
Its safe to say he has no chin what so ever.
Still, doubt Mayweather stops him.
Never mind them, Khan haters are either stupid or racists !
Khan is the best British boxer today, by miles
He has the potential to make a legendary career, but unfortunately he will not do it, simply because he isn't 100% professional
do you think the bodyshot that maidana took in the first round had anything to do with the power drop and energy drop in that fight
of course............. not :dance::dance::dance:

This exactly, I don't think Maidana really hit him till the 10th round I think! The Joe Cortez literally stopped Chino from dropping him!
I've got to say, the Mayweather and Pacquiao diehards may get on my nerves, but the Khan fans make me laugh at how delusional they are!!

Being an Olympian don't mean jack... Khan's chin is suspect and to say he has more heart than Broner is bull.. Even though AB got beat and dropped he got back up and went to to toe unlike khan who ran.. Plenty of Olympian came up with great pedigrees and didn't accomplish jack after there chins or amateur styles were exposed.. :usa2:

Khan barely got hit until the 9th round when Maidana was fatigued and had no speed what so ever. He could see the slow ass punches coming a mile off and took most of the sting off them.
Maidana has much improved since, Khan has declined.
Weight-draining lol hes been knocked down or buckled with just about every shot hes ever taken.
