Its easy to hate on Broner for his out of the ring antics....but I was impressed that he survived this brutal fight. It was a good lesson in not underestimating your opponent and not thinking you are a star until you actually are one.
Lets hope he learns from this and comes back stronger and maybe a bit more humble. I think he can have a great career. He has talent, though the shoulder roll may not be ideal for him.
obviously you've never boxed, you can just shut down and walk forward eating punches all night on cruise control
try actually keeping yourself mindful and digging deep to throw punches like you mean it when your just not feeling the energy and you have to muster it up yourself
broner's balls only dropped in the 12th
I have trained and sparred for many years and I think your statement is ridiculous.
Perhaps your dislike of Broner is in play here.
Taking damage is easy? Hmm.

I do not believe he will be able to bounce back and be as great as he believes he will be, in all honesty. He didn't just lose, he suffered a beating (he took some serious punishment when he got hit). I believe Broner left a bit of himself in that ring on Saturday night, just like Juanma left a bit of himself on each Salido fight. In boxing, when you suffer this type of punishment, you lose career longetivity and durability.
I expect Broner punch's resistance to get worse and his shaky confidence won't help that either. He will suffer a few losses but will still be a good fighter, just not elite as he and some thought he would be.
I think the safest move for him would be to test the waters at 140 and work his way up to 147 in terms of dealing with the bigger guys and their power.
He NEEDS to do the latter because if he doesnt start listening to the right people or continues to be the boss in his training camps and his corner he will have a short and humiliating career. He should let floyd take control of his career, even babysit the fuqqer if he has too. He may get paid but he needs to learn what being professional is about.
That's some real **** there. Broner def needs to mature outside and inside of the ring. If not he will just **** the rest of his career up. I was def sad he lost.
You dont have to like his character and he did look for a way out in the 8th, but to me, getting off the canvas twice and eating nearly 300 punches takes guts. He survived and we all know that is harder to do than to say.
What matters is how he responds to all of this. Does he make excuses and deny the loss, or learn from it.? It would be a great story if he did the latter.

He showed no more heart than any other fighter that gets paid to fight(except for maybe the Dirrell bros and quitter Ortiz). The dry humping(backfired and returned with interest), the constant fouling and the feigning injury are not the acts of a fighter with exceptional heart. It sucked.

broner should retired if he cant even beat a tailor made opponent for him. broner cant even beat a one dimensional come forward fighter and broner is suppose to be more superior because broner is a boxer.

Broner was trying to steal the victory from Maidana by faking his way out of the fight like a *****. Maidana is washed up and was gassed after a couple of rounds thats the only reason why Broner made it the distance..
real heart would have been him throwing back
about as much heart as judah vs garcia who only started to throw when danny got tired of beating on him
look at pacquiao vs morales I
floyd vs mosley or any of the times he was hurt
taking damage is easy, the pain aint a biggy for boxers, digging deep and throwing punches when you are hurt and ****ed takes real balls

agreed, he wasnt showing heart he was just surviving. he wasnt fighting back.

fighter with the attributes of AB should not let someone as slow and predictable as Maidana land pretty much at will. Maidana landed the same punch over and over AB did not have the answer he just eat them with his face. when Maidana have a better defance than you maybe its time to fire someone he show heart but that's about it.
I was surprised Broner did not make any sustainable adjustments to his defense. He was able to land some quality punches in the middle and 12th round.

He hung in there after taking some serious shots. I always give credit for that! But Maidana slapped him around pretty good. I was really impressed how Maidana used his jab and then let his hands fly! I cheered the entire time!

It's a case of not knowing how to lose since he hasn't been there before.
I like the part where his corner told him that he needs a KO and he went for it knowing that he can be hurt badly.
