extremely well rounded, been boxing since a child nd it shows. other than the obvious about him he also has a well timed jab nd good reflexes. nd fights off the back foot so good. he would kill broner, an ER would need to be booked in advance. smh lol
thurman & garcia.. future headliners of gbp fights!
He is a solid fighter. You can check relentless pressure fighter off his list. He handled Jesus Soto Karass as expected. He should face a boxer next to gauge which of the top welterweights he can target for the best possible match up.
I love his patience that he will continue to move until the right angles present themselves, I like his ability to counter punch with well committed combinations. Thurman has a little Pacquiao in him in that he'll throw punches from angles you wouldn't expect. Just a joy to watch, love his attitude (although I've never cared for that) and I think he's someone most can like.
He showed me exactly what he showed me in the Chaves fight. Except it was much easier in this fight, other than 1 punch that he took as he was loading up with an uppercut.
Dick riding him now, but not giving him credit for the Chaves fight is asinine.
He's good, I like how he doesn't reply on his power too much, he sticks to the gameplan, he has good skills. Transitions from offense to defense well but gets hit with the right hand quite a bit and can be hurt. He's exciting though and can beat you several ways. He'll be around and good for a while. He isn't brash and obnoxious, he's intelligent and confident. He's a little weird to me though, but I like him.
With due respect, you sound incredibly stupid. It is possible to support fighters, more than one even. True story. The Punisher was my favorite active fighter in his time. I support Austin Trout. That in no way means he too the Punisher's place.
lol, still being an over emotional tard, I see. you know what's funny? it seems like every time you go on some spree of posts supporting a fighter, they get their sh1t pushed in...can't help but wonder if Thurman is next. You're like the Oscar De La Hoya of NSB. hopefully he does get the Floyd fight next, so I don't have to wait long to see it :luvbed:
lol, with all due respect, you were riding his d1ck pretty hard for a while there...until Canelo came in and more or less beat him.

Showed me ALOT. He went through adversity, dug deep, he showed versatility, he showed a chin and he showed that well known power he has. He.....may be next up.
I like him. He's just on the right side of confident, he's never in a dull fight, and his style is pleasingly old-school. If he can continue to make 147, he'll most probably be a big player at WW a year from now.
Thurman has a hell of a chin because he should have been knocked out by that overhand in the first. Other than that he was able to dance around the lead footed Karass. He wasn't hurting Karass until the trainer told him the uppercut was there. Once Thurman followed that advice, he delivered two brutal knockdowns. Probably someone the top guys won't risk, but he may be able to get a Porter or Paulie in there. He swings between 147 and 154, so Molina and Angulo as well.
:?!: You "thought" Trout replaced the Punisher for me, wow?!
lol, with all due respect, you were riding his d1ck pretty hard for a while there...until Canelo came in and more or less beat him.
all i can say is impressed. hes very skilled, and well spoken. a perfect fighter.
Exactly. These are the type of fighters that should be getting the network's attention. Thurman is confident (not arrogant), entertaining fighter, and he has power. Most of all he makes his most important statements in the ring. I want to see Thurman fight Broner in order for Thurman to try to take Broner's star status, while Broner tries to reassert his self proclaimed p4p status.
Great offensive fighter but his defense is leaky. He needs to work on his head movement or keep his hands up. Because when he steps up in class he will get hit more and more and land less. His defense can be his undoing as he moves up in weight.
Thurman is a unique blend of boxer and scrapper. This guy looks to be the goods, but he is still perfecting his craft.
I think he is the future of boxing, he just needs those chances-which is going to be tough to get-especially after last night! I think he is being moved along the right way and in a few more fights I would like to see him against the upper eschalon of the division.
He is quickly becoming a favorite of mine.
Took some shots early but, adjusted and boxed and hammered a very tuff soto last night . Can't waIt to see more from him.well done Thurman maybe you can take care of Paulie like you wanted to.
