Built up by the networks and given lots of money for crap fights. In fights where the Haymon fighter looks to have lost, usually given the decision with some strange scoring. Often they avoid a tough competitor by stating they have no idea who they are, they don't bring in money, yada yada yada.
Soon as they finally do get in with someone who is prime, they lose.
Is Al Haymons stock dropping?
Broner was Maidana's first fight under Haymon. Chino was supposed to become one of the dispensables, much like Alexander, Porter, Maignaggi, Judah, Bundu, who just signed up recently and fought Thurman. Haymon saw Maidana much like he saw Ortiz before he fought Berto. They were supposed to make his treasured fighters look good. Unfortunately, Ortiz and Maidana wrecked Haymon's plan. Recently, Bundu got Thurman booed. He's supposed to get KO'd.
Haymon and GBP put their fighters in tough fights, it's good for fans. If Broner was with Top Rank he'd be fighting truck drivers still.
Do you still stand by this statement?
A Promoter promoting his fight.
Geez, who would have thought of such a genius plan?
Just go run face first into a fire pit. You're as useless as a white crayon.
You seem to be pissed off like Broner was by seeing that. Don't be mad man. :)
Read this, and look at what Golden Boy says, and then read Broner's response. :)

You can believe what you want, but Golden Boy wouldn't tweet something like that if they felt Maidana 'was done' as you put it. And the scoring favored Maidana and was quite fair.

It does. It tells me they thought Maidana was done for. It tells me they thought Guerrero, coming up from the lighter weights, wasn't going to do anything to Berto.
Both Berto and Broner were brought up in the same manner. Overly hyped, given gift decisions, and lots of money, and were being fed to the casual viewer as the next big thing.

I disagree.
Haymon has been around boxing for a long time. He knew what he was doing when he signed Maidana. He knew what he was doing when he put Broner against Maidana. Haymon knew there was potential for Broner to lose and there was risk involved.
Golden Boy, before the fight, tweeted that one of them was going to hit the canvas. Broner tweeted back saying they must be crazy! That should tell you something. :)

But hes not a young up and comer who has been groomed to be the next big thing ala Berto, Broner, etc.
Its obvious you clowns don't even get the point.

Haymon still does business with HBO. Just not as much as before.
Not really, all his guys that featured on HBO since had a normal promoter that HBO dealt with. At least he has no influence at HBO and can't cross shop there
I don't understand where Haymon's leverage is. Previously he had some concert promotion thing going, and could play the networks against each other. But now he's got Showtime as a sole outlet. How does he get them to overpay still? TBF many of his guys were in more competitive fights lately, as you'd expect from loss of leverage.

I don't post much but dude Chino is an Al Haymon fighter. Al Haymons stock dropping? Lol you can't be serious, fighters have nothing but good things to say about Al and the Watson family. Less hate more appreciation and boxing can be where it's supposed to be again.
holy shyt you weren't kidding 32 posts in 5 years DAMN. new record.
Haymon roster is LOADED with Mayweather at the top of it all, but he represents Maidana as well, Keith Thurman also. His stable is loaded so he will be fine.
BUT...I do think his young prospects need to EARN their way to the top instead of just handing them success early. Danny Garica EARNED his way to the top at 140, Keith Thurman and Leo Santa Cruz are EARNING their way to the top, nothing been given to these guys and that is the way it should be!
