maidana looked excellent in there tonight. broner, showed good heart and he took some vicious shots, but he is not at all what he was advertised as. its one thing to act like an idiot and then back it up in the ring, its another entirely to try to get by on half lessons. ive followed him from the beginning. this experience is exactly what he needed. not saying im not a fan anymore, but his ceiling is a lot lower in my estimation. but all respect to maidana.
wanted to post this before threads gets locked
Matthysse got his ass beat plain and simple. Sorry he lost.
114-112? yeah right... and to the other poster: This is what caused the eye damage, like I said "some punch".
Amazing what fake hype does for a fighter lol. People actually believe the bs that they're sold.

You mean like Matthysse? How ironic coming from you.
Lol, mathysse fans still making excuses...it's embarrassing. He lost get over it. Hype does that often enough. Truth is, It wasn't the hype that made me a broner fan. He brings something different. Either way, he is not it. He's a good fighter nothing more. I doubt he'll get a belt in ww.
Adjustments my foot, the bout went from a opponent who could see and was easily winning to one who couldn't see and was marginally losing.
The referee wasn't as bad as Cortez or even Cole tonight but he allowed consistent low-blows and counted a b/s knock-down when Matthysse was tangled in the ropes.
Easily winning he may have been up 4 rounds to 2 at the time Danny closed his eye up and won 1 rd after that which was the 12th.

His hand speed and athletic ability though. He's never put it together but he has so much potential.
He never did and he sure as hell won't after tonight.

Broner had no excuse, that's why. Matthysse couldn't see for half the fight after winning the first half.
Why couldn't he see? Danny taxed that ass. Period.
got to say i thought broner would win so il happily admit i was wrong lol. Brilliant fight tonight Maidana deserves all the credit in the world for his performance and basically fighting on empty, he was soo tired after 6 but kept coming forward! Props to both for making it a great fight though (minus the humping and acting from broner!)
Broner really needs to take boxing seriously, all the bull**** outside the ring going over the top has just backfired and he deserves alot of the **** he is getting. Inside the ring he did show heart fighting back. Maidana left hook was brilliant the way he set up the knock down by feinting the jab to body and switching it upstairs fooled Broner, showed some boxing skill in there! Well done Maidana thoroughly deserved victory!
Ala Joe Cortez right; Danny made the right adjustments and proved to be the better fighter.

LOL coming from a cripple who's never had a intelligent boxing convo ever
Dude, you're a spastic. Its been proven and that means you cant call anyone a cripple. Take your medicine, you dont know **** about boxing.
yeah some punch... :S
ref was a cnut to the Argentinian in that fight too
Ala Joe Cortez right; Danny made the right adjustments and proved to be the better fighter.
I was wrong as well, it is many who are rejoicing now but they too probably did not give Maidana much of a chance.
I thought Broner was far better and much more talented then certainly what he showed tonight and I was clearly wrong. His Defense is really not as good as he thinks it is and his Offense is really not a Offense, he just throw punches when it is an opening
Never believed in the "Next Mayweather" stuff because I seen Mayweather at 135...Broner as far as talent goes is not even on the same planet as Mayweather
I knew Maidana was gonna whip that trick the trick was on you fan boyz but you guys are eating that humble pie a it happens. I am 300 bucks richer and my friends are 1000 bucks richer. Damn I am Good at this s**t.
I only saw one full Broner fight it was Paulie vs. Broner.
After I saw that fight I knew he wasn't elite and was gonna get beat.
I'm not a boxing expert by any means but I think about 98% of the people here knew he wasn't that good. He's a good fighter, I take nothing away from him. He's no Floyd Mayweather no where near him. When people were talking about how AB could beat guys like Floyd and Pacquiao it was mind boggling to me.
I personally think his skill level currently is one notch above Judah and Paulie. Overall he's good fighter, cool, funny, entertaining, flashy, flamboyant dude.
I think he should fight Judah next.
War Maidana, i told you are Broner is lazy in there, gets hit too much and has cherry picked midgets and feather fisted foes. maidana is a tough f ucker who he thought he would walk through. If Maidana though his opponents at 130,135 and 147 he would be a 3 time world champ as well lets be real for a moment.
Respect to you for this thread though. So Happy for Chino though finally gets another big win.
I said that Broner would struggle badly with Maidana.
I actually thought he would edge a close victory but I knew he definitely had a chance of losing.
It was just so obvious to me.
Someone who get's hit as much as Broner does, shows a lack of movement that Broner has against someone who hits as hard as Maidana does is going to struggle. He struggled with Pauli for crying out loud.
I don't understand how this couldn't be seen.
