Walters based on what I've seen last. Russel was impressive, Lomachenko looked good too and salido is a solid and string fighter. There's donaire and mares waiting in the wings for another shot. Best division around?
What's up with Walters???
Last I heard he caught a bad case of the flu and put on a lot of weight over the Christmas Holiday. So he was postponed to June to give him time to cut the weight and have a camp.
Oh damn, this poll is old. LOL, I'm sure the bump made some people look bad.
I'd riding the Walters train hard.
Me too bro Walters is a savage we need Walters-Lomachenko at the end of the year for the ring title!
You voted for Jhonny too bro. It was the right answer at the time. The problem is people all of the sudden turned their back on him because he lost to a guy that they don't like.
I have no idea what happened lol. I mean, how could I vote for Jhonny while saying he is the weakest featherweight champion? Look at the last post before you bumped this thread.
Casuals, what you gonna do... This shows you how most boxing fans are very easily impressed by knockout wins.

You also have to remember how highly Mares was thought of when Gonzalez knocked him out. It's like if someone knocked out Rigondeaux in 1 round.
So a year ago, Jhonny clearly wins the poll and go figure....now he is an overrated bum. SMH.

I can't believe Jhonny Gonzalez is winning the poll. In my opinion, he's the weakest champion at 126. I would actually favour Walters, Salido (if he could make weight), Gradovich, Lomachenko, Donaire and maybe even Lee Selby & Gary Russell to beat him.
Totally open field at the moment. Looking at the current titleholders: Gonzalez holds the victory over Mares, but Mares hadn't done much at 126. Donaire beat Vetyeka, but it wasn't exactly a dominant victory. Salido beat Lomachenko, but is no longer a featherweight. Gradovich's only notable victory is over Dib. This is one division where I honestly cannot pick a top fighter. I say, let Donaire rematch Vetyeka. Gradovich should fight somebody like Nicholas Walters. Winner of Lomachenko and Russell will hold the WBO belt. And Gonzalez? I'm not sure what they'll do with him.
I think Loma is going to beat Russell Jr. handily. After that I think if Loma and Gonzalez fought that would determine #1. For now, Gonzalez is #1 no questions asked.
I'll keep Donaire at #2, he should rematch Vetyeka but I think he was on his way to a stoppage anyways. He should fight Walters, it would show that Donaire still wants to be here.
If that were to happen he wouldn't fight Gonzalez since he's Golden boy and Showtime. Lomachenko, Donaire, Gradovich, Walters are all Top Rank so it would be easy to have a box off which would easily trump Gonzalez's claim.
Donaire vs Vetyeka rematch then have everyone unify it would be enough for a RING title.
I think HBO can make a featherweight tournament if Lomachenko can beat Gary Russell, Jr.

I believe Golden Boy has a couple options on Jhonny Gonzalez. If not, then you have to put him in a Featherweight tournament as well. But the division is wide open that The Ring hasn't declared a champion and I really like the way they rank the champions while deciding who holds their championship.
