Is Rigo so good at what he does that he is even more boring than floyd ?
It's not even fighting. It's plain running and using smarts to win each round by a punch or two. I concede he is fast, probably the fastest and quickest right now in boxing. But to use that to run around the ring, and to get away after 1 punch that is horrible!
When I was a kid there was this other kid who would swat my arm then run away. Oh boy was he annoying but would he have won a fight if he stood there with me? Hell no! If boxing should ever become like that then I'd gladly switch to MMA.
One of the most fearful boxers you'll ever see in this day and age. Even when he's moving forward he just wait, wait, wait, wait.... That is not boxing, that is fear. Fear of getting KTFO.
He is so good he turns p4p and world champions boring because they wont engage for fear of getting knocked out but that ends up being his fault somehow. Not only does he have to adapt to the pro's and he keeps saying he is getting better by the way but now that isn't enough since he is already unified champ now he also has to deal with fighters loosing their balls and how to get a guy who is hard in his shell out of there everything in it's due time is not as easy as you guys make it seem ask Pacquiao who never saw Clotteys face.
May be boring to the fans of Mexican boxing style ! but for me, he is the best and most enjoyable boxer to watch
I hate to watch boxers like Gatti !
If I would pay to watch a fight, it would be for Rigondeaux's
If I had to download one fight, it will be Rigondeaux's
It took Floyd 10 years and a De La Hoya 24/7 + fight to get to PPV though.
Floyd wasn't a draw or PPV king for his first decade as a pro.
truth be told........
Probably a good idea. Europe might be a good option, too. This crap about him being "boring" is nonsense. Rigo should just pack his bags and kick ass somewhere else, where he's not running into so much hostility towards his natural style. Why stay where you're not wanted? The guy's 33 years old. His peak earning years will soon be gone. He needs to make money now.
the guy bought a bentley a while back at $240k, at least he has enough money to get around...

I don't find Floyd boring at all, but a lot of people think he is. All the PPVs I ever attend are at fight parties. Almost everyone I talk to dislikes Mayweather and think he's boring. It's so easy to make money at these functions. lol
its an event. the taste in the air is different once his fight week approaches.

Its a lot more than just his style (which I love). He's Cuban so there isnt a large population of ticket buyers to support him. He cant speak English. He is in the tiny weight classes. Considering all these things its actually impressive he has headlined an HBO broadcast and is in the running for FOTY.
An end to the Cold War would really help him. The division around jr feather is stacked.
Let BE honest tho at least 70% of people watch floyed fights just to see him lose ,nothing more they don't expect high action or knockouts they simply want to see floyed lose ,,once that happen or if it happens we will see a major drop on his #

Rigondeaux should start looking to fight in Japan, they have solid fighters around his weight and he could carve out a solid niche there. Not that he has to fight there exclusively but it would be a nice option for him considering his class.
