I went to the the fights in AC this weekend excited as hell. I didn't know I would get a chance to meet so many people in the sport.
First of all, my boy bought a ticket off me and decided to leave me hanging at the last minute. I, at least, wanted to get face value for it so my wife and I were standing outside the front door trying to sell it when all of the sudden I see a few people walking in. No one else noticed but I immediately spotted Roger Mayweather!
He didn't have any security and no one even noticed him walking down the boardwalk. I walked up to him yelling his name and asked him If I could take a picture with him. He said sure and was very patient with me and my wife since her phone camera wasn't set up. We actually had to take 3 pictures just to get the lighting right and he didn't complain. He shook our hands and complimented my wife and proceeded to go in.

Right after the final bell, most people got up and left and I knew it was a great chance for us to move down to ringside. I figured we'd at least get to see the fighters go back stage. We walked down and the first people we saw were Jim Lampley finishing up his broadcast. Fucking Max Kellerman up in the ring, and Larry Merchant talking to someone ringside.
Rigo walked down and stopped to speak to the person next to me, so I yelled out his name and extended my hand and he shook it. It was awesome. My wife tried to take a picture of him but it came out all crazy lol.

When Jim was done he came over and spoke to the people near our group, I asked him to get a picture of him with my wife since she likes him a lot. He obliged and took a picture with her.

THEN, I was looking ringside to see who else was there and noticed a familiar face. Ward was standing 5 feet away from us! He also came over to our side and I asked him to take a picture which he did.

At the end Joel Casamayor looked lost as he came down from the ring, He stopped and spoke to several fans and shake hands with us.
Overall, the venue, the seats, and the fights were great. We had a lot of fun during and after.

Congrats to you man.
Cool pictures, glad you and your wife had a great time.
How much were people booing when Rigo fought?
Not gonna lie, a few people walked out cursing then after the 7th or 8th round a few people started booing.
Damn nice lol
Thanks!
Sounds like you had a great time. Awesome pics.
Thanks for sharing.
Sure, thank you!

Should've gone. I was giving out a free ticket since my friend didn't go. People were skeptical of taking it too! I was like look, you'll be seating next to us (show them our stub) and they would look at it but wouldn't take it lol. I was like f uck ya'll then! Lost out on some dough but I learned a good lesson.
I knew you were going but didn't know your situation or else I would've gone lol. My bro bailed out on me and so did hougigo so I said screw it, I'm not riding up there alone. :lol1:

In a scale from 1 to 10 how tiny is he? 1 being super tiny.
Wish you had a better pic. These pics these photographers take and TV always makes these fighters look bigger.

He's not terribly tiny. He's was actually up to my nose in height so he was around 5"3'-5"4'. Definitely taller than my wife who's only 5" He had good body mass to him though he didn't see skinny. Not sure how to rate that...
Lol I was kinda messing with you. Sometimes he does look tiny as hell tho.

Rigo is so quick on his feet that you couldnt even catch him in picture. Amazing.
Glad you had a good time man. AC doesn't really attract me but the boxing atmosphere is always good.

Tambien tan oscuro LOL
awesome pics, dawg!
i'm glad you had a good time.
that kirkland - tapia fight must have been CRAZY!
Thanks homes. Kirkland-Tapia was NUTS! Since it was a really small arena, you could hear each thudding shot and see the sweat fly off each other. I was seated next to a few other of Kirkland fans who were chanting his name a few times but we were mostly drowned out by the pro Tapia crowd since it was in Jersey. Tapia fans were butthurt afterwards though. A good amount of them got up and left cursing after the stoppage.
I couldn't believe how long they let the fight go on though. You could clearly tell Tapia had no power on his shots even after round 3 and was just getting pummeled. He fought the wrong fight. He should've stayed off the ropes and tried to counter Kirkland coming in wide.
Don't blame you man... you were doing consecutive trips.... i know how that could suck.
Wish I could've gone.
And don't doubt he was tiny...... they always look smaller in the ring than real life
