Tough to call whos fault it was more of Tapias corner IMO.. I personally think Smoger was too small of a ref for this fight Kirk was like crazy as$ bear in there haha should of had a bigger ref, it can get ugly trying to stop Kirkland.. The corner was yelling at Tapia "Tell the doctor your ok" which IMO is a disgrace!!! Tapia had a horrible gameplan and took a horrible beating, he's gonna have a hard time coming back. A fighter with 12 KOs wasn't going to do anything to discourage Kirkland when he's in beast mode and has Ann Wolfe in his corner. They should have stopped it after the 4th.

I'm butthurt. Where does glen go to after this? A good portion of the crowd was too. A lot of people left right after that fight, yelling and cursing.

Watched the fight live in person and you could almost hear every clean punch landed by both men. It was tough to watch but damn was it exciting! I remember asking myself several times, why doesn't Smoger stop this? There were times were Tapia was on the ropes getting tagged with multiple shots in a row and he would only answer with 1 punch. He took a viscous beating. I knew he was too green to step in with someone like Kirkland even with a long layoff. I don't think he can get his career back on track after Saturday. I wish him the best though. He should definitely take a 6 to 8 month layoff and fight a soft touch. Fight of the night for sure too.

Tapia's tough and he's still young. I'm curious to see how he bounces back, if he can. He just didn't have the moxy last night.

The guy said he wanted a Gatti-Ward type of fight and he got it.
