LOL @ Lara Trolling Canelo

Lol the Lara hype is unreal.. the guy is no Floyd, a one dimensional Angulo was beating him until the orbital fracture. He beat Trout easily because Trout went into the fight trying to change his style and fought trying to be the aggressor. Let's not pretend that Lara is even close to the level of Floyd. Some of you are calling him "a bigger Floyd" he doesn't have half the ring IQ that Floyd has. And I'm not even a Floyd fan. He put a clinic on Paul Williams, but was robbed and I mean ROBBED like of the century. That being said... Canelo is Mexican but his not Rios, Margarito, Angulo, Barrera, Morlaes... he's a boxer. I don't think Lara is a bad fight but I don't think he is that good either, but I have the same feelings about Canelo. I doubt Lara wipes with floor with Canelo but it's a 50/50 fight.

This fight is under GBP's control. They can make it happen at the drop of a hat if they want to. The hesitation alone indicates that they're avoiding Lara as Canelo's next opponent. And I don't understand why. Just means that they're not really confident of Canelo's capabilities. They can't bank on the possibility that Canelo may well prove he's better than Lara.

That being said I hope he gets his chance and beats Canelo...will it make him a star? Probably not but it'll get him some exposure at the least and he's earned it.

I've been of and on with Lara, with being a fan of his. I liked his Paul Williams fight, but I don't remember who he fought but it Lara was really dirty in a fight and I didn't like that. I understand roughing a guy up, and "veteran" tricks like the occassional Floyd elbow or Cotto low blow. I was even ok with Floyds cheap shot against Ortiz, Victor took it to a lower level and I had no problems with Floyd going there once the gates were open. That being said there comes a point where it becomes excessive, such as Mares vs Agbeko. Lara didn't go that far but it made me dislike him, but these series of tweets... I like trash talking, it's a reason why I like boxing more than other sports because you don't get fined for tweets like this. I'm a fan again, he's cleaned up his style and he's built a good resume and earned his stripes the hard way.

:rofl::rofl: the things a fighter with zero drawing power has to do on twitter to get a fight. even changed his profile pic to a pic of canelo. some scary ****. hope it gets made as supposed to being lucky that Televisa promotes the **** out of you in spite of your obvious deficiencies. That's more laughable. Lara makes his own luck; Canelo was made by clever marketers. As a Mexican; I am more embarrassed to see Mexicans in the US buy into the hype.

Next year Lara will take care of Canelo in march, then in september take care of floyd. Sound like Lara is having a solid 2014..:boxing:
