If his hip is completely gone you'd think he wouldn't be ready for the summer return, and he wouldn't fight again unless it was the rematch. So I think that's that for his career.
It was sad to see him wave to his corner on the second knockdown to indicate that his hip was ****ed.
Anyone else enjoy the Lord of the Rings-esque pre-Sturm entrance video?
Barker may fight again but it wont be for at least another year or so if at all...
look for sturm-geale 2,,, or sturm-mundine or something along those lines
would love to see sturm-ggg
I'd have a better chance of having anal sex with Jennifer Lawrence.
Only way is if HBO puts up the money for it

Dislocated hip is a bad injury, the type of injury you get towards the end of your life. I don't know if he can fully recover from it, but I don't see him turning down a contracted rematch in his home country.
I don't think he'll fight again now, He's too injury prone, and in a hard gritty fight with a strong fighter there's always a chance he's gonna get badly injured. But if he can return for next summer and have one last go and a last decent pay day against sturm there's a chance he may box again. Who knows.
He still has the rematch clause in England, so there's that.
You guys think he can improve? Crowds and judge didn't make a difference
Improve how? I think Barker is as solid a boxer as there is in the division but time and time again it's been his body that has let him down. His hips, knees fuk every part of him has let him down.
I don't think he can improve that, it's natural. Based on talent and skill level alone I think Barker beats most middles out there apart from the elite such as Martinez but boxing isn't all about skills, it's also about physical strength and his body doesn't allow that.
unless they rebuild ma homez like the bionic man, Sturm will stop him again. :damnit1:
Tony simms just said he won't fight again
Oh wow... he's retiring?
It's tough and sucks for Barker.... but if the hip's a recurring problem, it's probably for the best. He could probably come back from it, but give it a lot of time to fix and heal
As I said before the fight Barker isn't fit to shine Sturm's bootlaces and I have been proven entirely right. It would be an embarassment if Barker tried to invoke a rematch clause after that drubbing. He should go back to fighting journeyman British fighters on home soil like all limey fighters are only good for.
The hip is going to get used as an excuse. Barker was getting rocked all over the shop before his hip went
Unfortunately, this is true.
Sturm hurt him several times. Darren had several opportunities to get on his bike.

His hip went with the second KD though, didn't it?
That's pretty much at the end
