Vitali has never cheated in pro boxing and was taking a steroid in the am's to heal an injury. This is well documented. Get a life.
Cheating is cheating. He knew it was illegal, knew it would give him an unfair advantage and still tried to get away with it. That kind of deceitful intent suggest a pattern that may very well have been repeated in the less stringent testing done in the pros.
Roy Jones took an over the counter supplement called ripped fuel.
He didn't cheat, he was just ignorant to that otc supplement having a banned substance in it at the time. Not only that, his opponent at the time tested positive too. Try again.
Ignorance is no excuse. If you're a pro athlete you have a responsibility to know. Besides that it's written on the bottle.
To tell you honestly I don't really care who gets exposed. The real problem is the guy who started it all gets away with positive test results.
I heard that rumor too. I think the problem is the boxer whose ex-strength coach caused his last opponent to test positive didn't take any advanced testing until after that strength coach left his team.
Freddie Roach made some interesting comments lately so we'll see who will be exsposed next.

Who do you guys think the next drug cheat that would get exposed? The commission itself is catching cheaters nowadays. It's just that they're only exposed when the fight is over. Which negates the purpose of protecting the fighters. But it's still better than letting these cheats go on cheating.

Add Mayweather's hidden failed tests to the list:
"Mayweather’s “A” sample had tested positive on three occasions and, after each positive test, USADA had found exceptional circumstances in the form of inadvertent use and gave Floyd a waiver. This waiver, according to the rumor, negated the need for a test of Floyd’s “B” sample. And because the “B” sample was never tested, a loophole in USADA’s contract with Mayweather and Golden Boy allowed the testing to proceed without the positive “A” sample results being reported to Mayweather’s opponent or the Nevada State Athletic Commission (which had jurisdiction over the fights)."
Soon after GB threatened MaxBoxing/Steve Kim and you won't find the articles ANYWHERE on the internet.
"On June 4, 2012, they served document demands and subpoenas on Mayweather, Mayweather Promotions, Golden Boy and USADA calling for the production of all documents that related to PED testing of Mayweather for the Shane Mosley, Victor Ortiz and Miguel Cotto fights."
Manny needs to demand VADA testing in his fight with Mayweather to level the playing field.
Those verified statements came from somewhere and I sure didn't make them up.
Either way, it's obvious that there will be no convincing you so take care.

Read the link I posted where the only one with exact knowledge of the testing is interviewed and tell me what he says when he specifically is asked about andro.
I'm done with you now. You may leave.
Edit: An informed post from the history section: http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/showpost.php?p=8884116&postcount=12
You cannot find a single official statement from any of the involved drugtesters or commisions saying that the positive test was for andro. It just says steroids.
PS: You are aware how wikipedia is made right?

Jones' plight is proven and a lot more believable wouldn't you say?
And.......they did both test positive for the same substance.
"2000 began with Jones easily beating the hard-punching David Telesco via a 12 round decision on January 15, at Radio City Music Hall to retain his titles. Jones reportedly fractured his wrist a few weeks before this fight and fought almost exclusively one-handed. He entered the ring surrounded by the famous group of dancers, The Rockettes. His next fight was also a first-time boxing event for a venue, as he traveled to Indianapolis and retained his title with an 11-round technical knockout over Richard Hall at the Conseco Fieldhouse. A post-fight drug test showed that both Jones and Hall tested positive for androstenedione which was available legally over-the-counter at that time but banned by the IBF. The results of Jones' next two drug tests, which were negative, were sent to the Indiana Boxing Commission. The IBF chose not to take any action against Jones or Hall. Jones ended the year with a 10-round stoppage of undefeated Eric Harding in New Orleans".

I see. I bet you also believe german track & field star Dieter Baumann, who said his positive drugs test was because someone had contaminated his toothpaste? Or cycling Star Tyler Hamilton who said that his positive test was because his mom had an unborn dead twin in her when he was born?
The bottom line is that Jones tested positive for a steroid.

He's not.......like I had already said before, he gave an explanation as to why he failed the test.
He took an over the counter weight loss pill that happened to contain a banned substance.
The fight results were not reversed and it went down as a win.
He never failed another test before or since and is not a cheat.
Period.

He failed a steroid test and yet he is not a cheater?
Ok.

I don't think what steroid they each failed for was made public either way If I remember correctly. Roys camp was the one that mentioned that Andro was what he failed for. Either way, he explained himself and he's no cheater.

The tests were messed up? What do you mean?
And Jones and Hall did not test positive for the SAME steroid. They had a positive test for A steroid.

We don't know but it's just as unfair to just assume he's lying and call him a steroid cheat as it is to just assume he's not guilty at all. I don't think Roy is a cheat and unknowingly took the supplement he says he did but I understand that's an opinion. Either way, like I said, he's never tested positive another time since and Hall was positive as well.
For all we know the tests were messed up. After all, how rare is it that both fighters tested positive for the same steroid on the same fight night and never before or since?
